I'm on TB 15.0 on Ubuntu and it works fine for me. After setting it to use TB3 Tabs, worked exactly as I'd hoped. Not sure why others are reporting problems with TB15.

I can confirm that it still works in version 10. Just had to unzip the package and change maxVersion to 99.*

The search toolbar item looks really bad. I'm using FF3 from Kubuntu and the search engine selection dropdown appears over the top of the search textbox.
