Phenomenal plugin for organizing contacts. I sync with CardDAV on a Radicale server so it's all self-hosted. I love that you can just ctrl-v paste profile pics onto the contact page. This is really excellent stuff. thanks yall.

Merci Philippe, llevaba mucho tiempo peleando con gContactSync y este add-on ha resuelto todos mis problemas de sincronización con Google Contacts. Con TB 68.9.0 funciona a la perfección. 1000 Gracias.

Thank you for cardbook, which is working much better than the old TB adressbook. Cardbook in TB is my master for addresses, birthdays, phonebook and even more. Synchronization with addressbook of mailprovider an further on to my android Moto G6+ an my iPad wiht iTabOS 11.x works well in both directions.
I hope it will be integrated into TB some time without the need of an add-on.

Looks messy and slows down Thunderbird. To me, this is completely useless.

Hi, tested, this module is full of many good functions to discover such as: at startup it imports the native Thunderbird address book, nothing lost, easy export and import, color for each book, choice of fields to display in the list for each book, etc. I did not find the function to synchronize the changes to the native notebook. Thanks.

Excellent software. Does exactly what I need. I use it with Fastmail. I have Davx on my Android device, so everything is synced together.

Unfortunately it didn't work well for me in openSuSE Leap 15.1
On two occasions he deleted contacts even on my Mobil (Note 10 +), the address book of the Yahoo account, it never synchronized well and when I tried to delete it, it kept the synchronization symbol active but without results. I do not doubt at all that it is a good complement, but at least it does not work for me in #Linux.
OS: Kernel: 4.12.14-lp151.28.48-default x86_64 bits: 64 Desktop: KDE Plasma 5.12.8
Distro: openSUSE Leap 15.1
Thunderbird 68.7.0

Super module !
Mais j'ai un petit problème : depuis quelques temps le panneau de prévisualisation des contacts n'est plus affiché.
C'est le panneau qu'on voit à différents endroits dans les captures d'écran "vue classique" et "vue verticale" de la page principale du module.
Pouvez vous me dire comment je peux basculer l'interface entre ces deux configurations (ce qui pourrait faire ré-apparaître le panneau manquant) ?
Ou tout simplement comment ré-initialiser la position des éléments de l'interface ?
Je pense qu'un réglage manque dans les préférences à ce sujet.
Merci pour vos indications ...
F8 ou alors aller dans le menu de Thunderbird et Affichage/Disposition/Panneau du contact

Fonctionne très bien globalement.. remplace le carbet d'adresse historique très efficacement !
Mais :
1/ J'aurais aimé un moyen d’arrêter une synchronisation qui tourne en boucle (aujourd'hui je n'ai pas trouvé le moyen de stopper et de modifier en conséquence l'abonnement à un carnet d'adresses)
2/ La synchronisation des listes de diffusions dans un carnet d'adresses avec un serveur SOGo ne fonctionne pas, ni dans un sens ni dans l'autre :-/
1/ oui impossible
2/ quelle est la version des vCards de votre carnet d'adresse dans CardBook ?

This was a big help in getting my address book cleaned up. The ability to sync address across my other Windows device (Surface) is a big deal. It seems to work just fine. Thanks!

Decent Win10 look and feel, but vertical slider does not seem to work with mouse and when a picture is present there is a constant flicker. Also, when using it to select addresses for an email, the slider issue return and there is no way to keep the address book source hidden. Everything else that I have tried seems to work ok. Just have to get used to navigating it and setting the proper preferences. More edits as I encounter them

I have installed cardbook on thinderbird 68.3.1 and have tried to connect to a my nextcloud carddav server with self-signed ssl-certificate. But I couldn`t do this, because your plugin doesn't work correctly and doesn't ask me about confirmation my self-signed certificate, how it did in lower version of thunderbird. Doesn't work and self-facilitated addition my self-signed ssl-certificate in thunderbird over options. In lower version of thunderbird your plugin is worked fine and asks me to add my self-signed ssl-certificate and passes validation in Cardbook. Can you rectify this trouble of your plugin?

Used this to enhance the built in address book in TBird; but it doesn't import the names and address correctly from the Tbird account. so then I find it more cumbersome to use than just fighting through Tbird's standard address book.
Note: if you're writing apps for TBird, check to make sure they work properly, at least at some basic level before you publish.
UPDATE:
My appologies. Apparently I did something wrong (don't know what but I'll take the blame here). I did have all the issues above and ended up removing it and leaving the message. Philippe contacted me and I told him that I would send examples of the issues; but would have to re-install to get them. I re-installed and imported my TB address book as normal but this time---- Well everything was displaying correctly. It worked perfectly.
So again, sorry. Jumped too fast on the guns there. With it now installed again, I love the functionality it brings to TB.
