The word "Clips" is cropped off on my 4-row toolbar; otherwise a very pleasing theme.

Very poor. The main image is cropped beneath the left eye on a 4-row toolbar, can only see the final A of the text at 1280 x 1024, whilst the rest is just plain white space.

I prefer dogs but this makes for quite a good background for toolbars and works well when using just 4 rows.

There are 3 points I look for in a good background - 1 simplicity, 2 does not require 5/6 rows of toolbars to see the design, 3 the icons on the toolbars are not obscured by the design.
Unfortunately this one only passes point 2.

An attractive woman - just a shame that she is cut off just below the lips when using just a 4-row toolbar. Otherwise a good background.

Fabulous car but doesn't quite make the grade as a background. Although you've avoided the main pitfall with most themes in that you've made an effort to keep the main images at the top, the very bottom of the car is cropped on my 4-row toolbar. I also find the left hand side, where some of my main icons reside, to be a bit messy.

Whilst not a fan of this Mexican football team - in fact I'd never heard of them before today - it's a really good theme.

Good colour scheme but otherwise falls into all the usual pitfalls.
It needs 6 rows of toolbars to see the whole thing and you would need a supermega widescreen display to see the whole of the word "Happy". At my 1280 x 1024 resolution it's "y New Year!" and then with only a fraction of the y visible!

Great theme that ticks all the boxes for me - excellent subject matter and colour, not dependent on the numbers of rows on the toolbar to get the full effect, and doesn't obscure any of the icons on the toolbars.

Whilst I'm normally a fan of the simpler themes this one doesn't quite work for me. The black background is fine but I find the stark white logo somehow a little bit grating on the eye.

Well it's certainly minimalist! But it does meet all the main criteria for me for a good theme - it doesn't require 6 rows of toolbars to see the full effect, it doesn't obscure any of the icons on said toolbars and it works well with any screen resolution.

I quite like pancakes too, but I certainly don't love this theme.
Another one that requires 6 rows of toolbar to display the whole image - cut off under the nose on my paltry 4-bar, and the word "pancake" displays as "ncake" at 1280x1024 resolution.

Who? A sad state of affairs when you're reduced to calling yourself "The Real King".
As a theme it's very poor too, but at least I can still see my icons.

Aside from the obvious advantages of not obscuring icons and being uninfluenced by the numbers of rows of toolbars a user has, I never really saw the point of having a theme comprised simply of a block of colour. Nevertheless I do find this one quite pleasing with the slight gradient to the blue.

Much, much, much too cluttered and busy to make an effective background.
The only redeeming factors are that all my icons are still visible and I can see all of her face on the right hand image on my 4-row toolbar.

Looks like Donald Duck to me!
Makes for a good background except for the all-too-frequent problem in that it requires 6 rows of toolbar in order to display Donald in all his glory.

Far too much going on to make an effective toolbar background for me, but at least my icons are still visible!
