Just found this today after several days of searching for a new calendar reminder after loss of ReminderFox with Firefox updates. THANKS!!! My severe depression is cured! Impossible to beat the simplicity and reminder function of this program. I was able to import all my settings still residing in the Firefox directory. I wish you could provide a setting/warning that would prohibit updates that would whack this add-on.

very usefuk adon. why it is not available with Firefox Quantum? It is a pity. Waiting for it. At this date, still using FF 56 to get it.

Yes, probably there was something special which pushed me/us to work on Reminderfox .. for years with fun and hearing lots of positive comments. Also the time is getting harder to follow the massive changes caused by Mozillas move to new technologies and removing old, mature technics, parts they don't need anymore for Firefox Quantum etc..
There will be a new Reminderfox version soon and it had to follow those mentioned changes. Not for every of the Mozilla changes we are able to implement a sufficient solution to keep all of our features, the statusbar seems to be one of that .. and we are sorry about that.
But for the statusbar Reminderfox feature there are some possibilities to bring it back (partially), pending on the system (Firefox, Thunderbird or Seamonkey) and their version. We will post about that in our Forum [1].
Please remember Reminderfox is an opensource project, the current development status can be found on GIT [2] and everyone is invited to join and contribute to it. We would be happy to get help!

Giving this 5 stars in the hopes that the dev blesses us with a version 2.1.7 FYI, version 2.1.6 IS available, just not here. It's at:

The good news: Google Calendar Integration is fixed.
The bad news: Well, first off, the Options pop-up and Calendar selection screen demand focus, so it's impossible to open the webpage to get the token to enable access to the calendar. UNLESS, you go in to the browser settings, and tell it to ask which program to use when you try to open a https link. THEN you manually pick a different browser to open the link and copy the token from there. It works, I did it.
Second off, the dev deleted Status bar (and menu bar, and every other bar) support because Firefox ditched it. SOOO??? I'm using Seamonkey! Not to mention the plethora of other Mozilla software which still has bars, or has addons to add them back!! I WANT my Event text displayed in my status bar. Lightning demands it be in the status bar.. or at least mine put it there anyway. Now?? Now I have to settle for yet another icon on my already crowded toolbar. I downgraded back to 2.1.5.6. It worked, but I lost connectivity to my Google calendar shortly after that.
I was able to verify functionality by deleting some old events and adding a couple of birthdays. I sincerely HOPE the dev blesses us with one final version. I don't intend to ever upgrade to Firefox 57+. It's a bloated, adware infested piece of crap. It pains me to say that, but at the moment I intend to settle on Waterfox or some other solution on a permanent basis. Firefox is a lost cause.

Does not work syncing to Google Calendar. After you enter the Google user name and click Retrieve, the Google log-in page opens up in a tab of the current Firefox instance, which you cannot access while the Add-on window is active, so you can't get the Google tocken without closing the Add-on window, and then you can't paste in the token!!!

seit Wochen funktioniert reminderfox nicht. Manchmal gelingt es nach mehreren Anläufen, einen Termin hinzuzufügen oder die Liste zu öffnen. Ziemlich bald danach blockiert das System wieder. Oft erscheint auch ein kleines Fenster, in das man nichts eingeben kann. Sehr ärgerlich!!!

Ottimo programma. E' il migliore in assoluto del suo genere. Peccato che non è compatibile con il nuovo quantum di Firefox . Firefox non sta facendo niente per recuperare questo favoloso programma.

Esta agenda es fantástica, la uso desde hace años. Es la más práctica y agil que conozca.
Ahora bien, ya que no es compatible con la versión Firefox quantum, busco desesperadamente una aplicación similar... y de momento, no he encontrado...
A ver si se anima la comunidad de este complemento a hacerla compatible!! Por favor!!

I cannot install reminders in my version of Firefox. I am angry because of this & I am old and have lots of doctor appointments to keep up with. I always depended on reminders for this. Bad decision to make them not compatible with my version.

Just read your last response where you pointed out ReminderFox still works in Thunderbird. Good work!
EDIT: Seems I spoke too soon. Clicking the 'OK' button does nothing, so can't set an alarm.

I really like reminder fox ...However, it NO LONGER is compatible with firefox 57.0.1 (32-bit).

I loved reminder fox--simple and easy to use. Unfortunately I can't use it anymore due to Firefox's stupid upgrade. Some upgrade nothing works anymore.

Hopeless. I've lost reminder fox which was my main diary. Never advised this would happen when I "upgraded" to surerduper faster version. Disgraceful "service"
Another solution is to switch to another browser. Goodbye Firefox and good riddance
