RefControl

Noté 4 sur 5 étoiles

Hello! I think this tool has great potential. Here are a few of my suggestions (please bear with me:):

1. The CS lite addon has a few great ideas (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5207). For example, a single click will bring in a host of options (Allow cookies globally, block, remove etc...). You could do the same thing here.

2. You could also have this tool block/allow all referrers globally (have a global setting) and then have the user set personal preferences for each site. Again this is a CSlite setting!
It should also block referrers from other sites as someone already mentioned before.

3. last but not least, please change the icon! This is of course only my personal opinion:).

Good luck!

This addon is like the "noscript" for cookies! You can block or allow cookies from a website.

One small request: It would be even more wonderful if it had a "whitelist" feature like noscript which can be backed up as a small .txt file. This will be very useful if you're formatting your system or clean installing firefox.

Perhaps you could also merge the functionality of "better privacy" and also block out flash cookies, LSOs etc? or would that bloat the addon too much?

Keep up the good work!

A great way to view tabs! My question:

I noticed that this addon uses Adobe Flash. Flash is well known as a memory hog and has potential security flaws. So my question is: Is there any open source alternative which you could perhaps use instead of flash? or would that be too much work? Please reply!
