TryAgain

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

There seems to be a problem with the latest update. If a page doesn't load (times out), the add-on does try to reload it but the page keeps trying to load while never actually loading. The status bar keeps fluctuating between "Looking up..." and "Connecting...". This didn't happen with the previous version of the add-on. So, right now, I'm back to the older version. Please fix this if it's a bug in the add-on. Other than that, the add-on is very nice and does its job perfectly.

DownThemAll!

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Excellent add-on! Does its job very nicely. This is one of the greatest add-ons for Firefox; almost ubiquitous. In the latest version, though, I encountered a small problem. Upon the completion of all the downloads, the %age of downloads completed is displayed as 98% or 99%, and not 100% as before. This is a bit confusing when a user is tracking the downloads through the task bar title.

And one more thing that I noticed in the latest version is that the add-on doesn't seem to break the download into so many pieces as it used to earlier. But that may actually not be the case; I just observed and felt such a thing.

Other than that, it's a must have tool for Firefox. The feature to add multiple URL's to the download list could also be elaborated; it does accept the batch descriptors but what if there's no matching pattern in the URL's? It should accept multiple URL's that are separated by spaces or a specified character.

Save Images

Puntuado con 1 de 5 estrellas

The add-on says "Save Images saves the images from the current tab page, from the cache, to a specified location, with either the images original file name or a file name that you specify". Both these statements are false. No matter how much you customize its settings, neither it makes use of the already cached images (it downloads them again when saving) nor can it save the images with original file name (yes, I changed that setting but it still doesn't keep the original name). The renaming problem is not a big one for me, but owing to a slow connection, I'd have preferred it to just copy the image (loaded already on the web page) from cache/RAM to the desired location when asked to save. That's what it promises to do anyway. But whenever I save an image, it starts downloading it again, and doesn't make use of the cached image. I kind of hate applications that tell me lies.
