I just spent three days trying to get Lightning to show anything at all, gave up, looked around and found this – my calendar appeared right after the restart! But count me in as another plea for adding Google Tasks... that would make it five stars for sure.

Update: Google Tasks Sync shows tasks in my email tab, but no in the calendar tab. That helps, but...

I am a very happy user of this addon, thank to this guy.Just one thing is still broken:I have managed three email adresses on thunderbird, with three google calendars as well but after these days, once I open one calendar account, if I try to add a new one (calendar account), it goes to the browser instead opening a new tab.
If you could fix it would be great indeed.

Anyone stuck on the Mobile view:

This appears to be just a cookie issue. Try logging out, then logging back in; this fixed it for me. and it's now working beautifully again.

If you're stuck with the mobile calendar version, do the following:
Go to Add-ons Manager -> Google Calendar Tab -> Preferences and add the custom URL: https://www.google.com/calendar/render
It now should work again!

Used to work great, then as other reviewers noted, went to Agenda view without a way of reverting to Week view.

Used to work great but recently only shows mobile view of calendar :(

This tab used to work great. As of relatively recently (even before the upgrade to Thunderbird 24), it started only displaying the MOBILE interface to the calendar (i.e., an agenda view with a very limited interface). Perhaps Google changed their criteria for what browsers see what view. Either way, this app should somehow force the Desktop view of the calendar.

Great little add-in. Works better than lightning without the bugs, simplifies the synching issue between desktop and android calenders well.

Love it but I am having an issue with all event displaying. Apparently if a user that I have shared my calendar creates an event, it does not show up in Google Calendar Tab. It shows up on my Google Calendar page just fine. Please fix this problem and I will easily give you a 5 star rating.

Not as feature rich as Lightning, but not as buggy or annoying as Lightning either. Easily the most effective and reliable calendar integration available in Thunderbird.

One more vote for getting tasks to work. This is a perfect add-on for Google Calendar, but PLEASE add the tasks to the tasks pane.

I love the convenience of this add-on because I can check email and immediately add appointments to my calendar which is than synced with my smartphone, laptop and tablet.

Before updating TB to v13.0 my tasks list was blank and now my tasks list appears but no calendar ???? Problem seems to have been that the extension option had been set to GOOGLE APPS FOR YOUR DOMAIN

this add-on is fantastic and full-fills quite all (my) needs, except for a small bug: it is not possible to move from one day to another by mouse the events of the secondary calendars, this is possible only from the main/first registered calendar.

Use this add-on at work and at home, does what I need it to do when sharing calendars. Until it just stopped working, hangs on the loading screen. I have guys that have no issues using it with TB v7-9. Why mine just stopped I have no idea.
