Folder Pane View Switcher

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

What the heck were they thinking when they removed a most basic feature such like easy and mouse-acrobatics free folder view switching from Thunderbird? How is one supposed to cope with a more complex folder structure and multiple accounts? Seems the people at Mozilla recently try their best to work *against* a positive user experience...

Thank you for this add-on. This is a must for people that still want order and oversight in their mail client, even with more then a few mail accounts and folders.

I love this extension, thank you for porting it to TB3. :-)

For those of you who have unreadable white text on the yellow notes (e.g. due to a Thunderbird theme like PitchDark, which uses white font color), I figured out a fix.

Add the following to your userChrome.css file (in TB's profile folder (see for info on that), there in the subfolder chrome - create file and folder if necessary):

/* Xnote - set text color to black */
.boite-de-texte, #titre
color: black !important;

This will set all text in the notes boxes to black.

Hope that helps.

Docky Unread Count

lpiepiora uploaded versions 0.5 and 0.6 today. :-)

So far version 0.6 works fine for me on Ubuntu 10.04 with docky 2.1.0 bzr r1620 ppa (todays new version) and Thunderbird 3.0.6.

Click on "View all versions" to download them and give it a try. ;-)

(Please ignore my rating, I wasn't allowed to post without it. This is not a review, but rather a reply to raajsaab. Apparently, this isn't supported by this forum.)

@raajsaab: An extension named "XNote" provides the functionality you seek:
It's OK for Thunderbird version 2.0.0.*, I've been using it for a couple of months now on several machines and OSes.

There's also a version by another author for TB 3 based on the old one ( ), but it has not yet been reviewed by Mozilla.
Also there is "XNote Plus" ( ), which hasn't been reviewed either. I don't know the difference between the latter two, though.

Hope that helps.
