There is a flag that needs to be changed as detailed in some other comments in order for this to work, but otherwise it works flawlessly and cannot recommend enough

Just replicating this so it stays on top of the list:

There is a solution to 68 (calendars not appearing in the selection box)

Go to menu TOOLS - OPTIONS (Edit -> Preferences). Left side select ADVANCED. At the top submenu select GENERAL. At the bottom of this screen is the CONFIG EDITOR button. Click this and go past the warning screen. In the search window find the following:

general.useragent.compatMode.firefox

Change this to TRUE (double click on it)

This addon is very useful to me, but since the upgrade to v68.2, the module asks me for my credentials at each synchronization

I have already deleted and put the addon back in place but nothing to do.

How can i fix it ?

my major problem was installing vers 68 without a cleanup of the "old" version 60. Desinstallation and a complet new setup in addition to the work arround solved all problems.

Here, I got back to TB 60.9.0 (none of my add-on works with 68 version...) and extension to 4.4.2
it doesn't work (no connection to my G account), but with the JLJ_M tip, it works fine again.

This is a great add-on (that should be native to Thunderbird). not working with 68.2.1, and "fix" from JLJ_M doesn't work for me (no effect at all). Hoping for an update soon (still giving 5 stars because the change is Mozilla's, not this developer's, and giving a bad rating won't get it fixed any quicker).

Was working fine until 68.* release of Thunderbird! Fortunately "JLJ_M" work around fixes the constant login prompt and locking up of a Google calender entry.

Thanks for the solution! Yes, it works. I guess it ought to go without saying but this problem is still a bug that ought to be avoided automatically, without the need for user anxiety, research, and work-around intervention -- all of which is also time consuming! Provisional four-stars in recognition of how historically reliable this add-on has been -- and less one star only because of the current snafu.

Up to the last updates of Thunderbird, (68.*) Lightning + provider for google calendar, were performing very well.
Now, there is a bug in provider ..., or it is not anymore up to date for the present version of Thinderbird (68.2.1)...
Please fix it ASAP. Many thanks.

worked well till thinderbird 68 update.. updated also add-on but could'nt sync.. so removed calandar (google) but couldn't add it again ... hung page at "select calandar" after allowing all... google tool ... please fix..

Me ha estado funcionando perfecto hasta que he actualizado a la ultima version de thunderbird. Ni reconoce la cuenta, ni crea calendario google ni nada. Es inutil. Arreglenlo ya.

Bei jeder Synchronisation muss man die Google-Mailadresse mit Passwort eingeben, weil die Angaben nicht gespeichert werden. Das ist nervig!

Auf Deutsch findet man das unter "Extras" - "Einstellungen" - links unter "Erweitert", dort auf "Allgemein" und unten rechts "Konfiguration bearbeiten"
Dann "Ich bin mir der Gefahren bewusst!" anklicken, und im Suchfeld
general.useragent.compatMode.firefox
eingeben und per Doppelklick auf "true" stellen.

Con la versione 68.2.1 non si sincronizza con Lighting , ho provato sia la versione a 32 che 64 bit , il risultato non cambia , spero in un aggiornamento al più presto...

Provider für Gogle Calendar funktioniert bei Thunderbird 68... nicht .
Verwendet: Open Google Calendar !
