This extension is one of the most valuable I ever have seen, especially for professional users.

Besides being embarrasing, sending email using the wrong sender identity can really get you into deep hassle, or even worse, into conflict with law.

For example, when sending email to people using the wrong identity, people will add this wrong identity to their address books and write back to the wrong identity forever when replying your email or even when sending a new one to you.

Regarding law: Here in Germany, we have a bunch of laws which dictate what (company) data must be given in professional written communication, including emails. Breaking this dictate can result in reminder and can get very expensive. Now imagine you are writing a private email, of course without your company's data, but by accident use the company's identity for doing so.

This extension is a real life-saver, and I will use it forever (at least until Thunderbird incorporates the same functionality from stock).

Furthermore, the developer is extremely responsive and friendly, thereby speaking mutiple languages. He had a small problem when using the extension along with Enigmail (the problem did not occur on every system; for example, I did not suffer from it although using both extensions), and we tried to solve together. It has turned out that the problem is at the Enigmail side, and the Enigmail developers have promised to fix it soon.
