Thank you very much! The functionality of this add-on meets my needs perfectly and solves the never-ending story with the add-on ThunderbirdBirthDay finally.

Thank you!. Finally a successor of the great ThunderBirthDay (see https://github.com/ingomueller-net/ThunderBirthDay/pull/11#issuecomment-712579477). It is working very well. I can choose which addressbooks are parsed for birthdays from the addon options. From then on there apear one or multiple birthday calenders in the thunderbird calender menu. All birthdays are displayed correctly. Thank you very much for this nice extension!
