This is very useful! I frequently receive messages containing deeply nested quotations, so I cannot imagine how terrible if this isn't available. Moreover, this provides extra options for hidden preferences of Thunderbird itself.

I really like this add. As someone else has said, the clear demarkation between quotes is a great help.

But I have one observation that I think should be addressed. I quite often receive messages that contain 7, 8 or more sections of quoted text. Any quote above the 5th level is displayed in the 5th level colour.

It would be a great advantage if it looped back to level 1 colours for the 6th, 11th etc quotes. Or have the facility for the user to add additional quote levels.

I have a neuropsychiatric condition that sometimes makes it difficult for me to sort and order information into appropriate groups, making e.g. e-mail reading almost impossible. Quote Colors really helps me. It turns cluttered chunks of text into structured trees, all branches assigned with their own level colour. And apart from many other add-ons, the default settings are great as they are. The colours and shadings are perfect for me. It's small and simple, compared to many other add-ons, but the improvement to readability is great.

This is one of the best add-ons I've installed during my many years with Thunderbird. Highly recommended!

Hiermit werden unterschiedliche Hierarchie-Stufen von Zitierungen in unterschiedlichen Farben markiert, sodass man auch bei Ping-Pong-Mails, die öfters hin- und hergeschickt wurden, noch genau erkennen kann, wer wann was geschrieben hat. Sehr praktisch!

I like this a lot for those few emails that don't go through enigmail, which marks forwards/quotes with a pipe ("|") instead of ">"... Could you add the pipe character "|" as a delimiter too?

Ce serait top de pouvoir ajouter un fichier image en transparence, comme un filigrane. Et mieux encore, pouvoir étirer une image au format du mail.
