Just writing this review to compensate all the negative ones. The add-on works as intended, easy to install, easy to use.

Yeah, guess it indeed works, but using it would make Firefox slower. So better google it, guys.

Basic words like "relatable" are obviously in there. So many reviewers here seem to be completely clueless. Try to make sure you're actually using the dictionary you're reviewing before leaving angry 1-star "reviews"! You have to select it, you know.

My Firefox has the latest updates but spell check doesn't work. It use to work when I edited my websites. I don't see any drop down box when I right click to show languages. It shows in my website editor when a word is misspelled. It keeps saying to Add Dictionary which is already an add on.

I have followed all directions offered and I believe my "Dictionary" for spell checking has been added-on but I still can't find it! It is not in a first drop down menu; which it SHOULD be, and if I had a say in this I would put it tn the first drop down menu for Tools. A mispelled - I did that on purpose - is underlined red in Firefox with NO easy way to fix it. PLEASE make this feature better and easier to use in Mozilla/Firefox.

Clicked right, the drop down menu doesn't have anything called "Languages" so I can't get to "English".
I even tried to activate it by restarting FireFox, no go.
I have FireFox versiion 48.0.2

Very useful. I like that the new version 8.1 uses the "large" SCOWL dataset (look for the Wordlist project on SourceForge for details) including common variants (like "advisor" instead of "adviser") and accented words (like "Bogotá" or "cliché"). It's restartless and therefore easy to use.

Great help whilst writing English American.
English isn't my native writing, however this tool makes hardly anyone notices.

For those who could not get this to work; it is used when you write a comment or a review, within a web page. Then you right click and you will see the menu options. there is no icon. You use when you are the typist; not what you are reading. It works as directed.

For me works fine with DE SeaMonkey 2.35(γ) (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:38.0 nightly by Adrian Kalla) Gecko/20100101 Build 20150615204754 (Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.
May be it should be shown as "available for SM 2.35"?

Instalei este complemento no Firefox 36.0.4 sem nenhum problema. Está funcionando perfeitamente bem. A única dificuldade que encontrei foi com o botão instalar, que não está funcionando! Pedi par abrir em Nova Aba e ai, sim, funcionou sem problema.

This is a great add-on! Allows you to check your spelling on sites that don't have their own checker. I simply hit the install button and the thing started working immediately.

I Run LinuxMint 14.04 with Cinnamon twist and couldn't figure out for the life of me why spell check wasn't working. I'm dyslexic so spell check is very useful for me. Glad I found it. I tested it and it works perfectly.
