Please, please, please add this How-To link to your description -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension instead of saying the rest is self-explanatory. I had to install DOM Inspector to get the menu item to replace /*CODE*/

Also Control+Shift+F12 does not do anything for me on my Thinkpad T460s, Win10Pro, TB 60.4.0 32-bit Had to get there using Tools -- > Keyconfig ...

So thankful you have resurrected this addon. Works great as of TB 60.3. Thank you!

I've been using keyconfig since probably 2005 and it's been an essential part of tbird for me. I've been using it for so long I can't imagine using tbird without it.

So thank you for keeping this alive. I had no idea keyconfig had been updated (still on 2011 version) and when it stopped working today (tbird 60.3.0), I thought all was lost.

As advertised, this is a drop-in replacement... picked up all my pre-existing key mappings and I was back in business. Love it.

Works great, good replacement for legacy keyconfig add-on

Works great on Linux TB 60+. With it I can emulate Vim keybindings more or less and live on without Muttator for now!

Works on TB 60.2.1 (64-bit) on Linux. Picked up my keys from the older keyconfig and just worked.
Basic menu commands all seem to be available to (re)map from a straight forward interface with the option to run javascript code for custom keys (not tried so I don't know how limited it is).

Unfortunately this does not work in Linux TB version 60

Important add-on to disable accidental key-presses (J, K, A, etc).

Absolute must as old extensions like Nostalgy are dying with Thunderbird version 60+. Now i use Quick Folder Move and Keyconfig to replicate Nostalgy behaviour.

Is very nice, but can you add the:

Increase Indent Ctrl + ]

That indent I use very often and in my keyboard config, Spanish, it's not available.

*Successfully enabled ⌘⇧A to open Add-ons Manager in Thunderbird macOS:*

1. find and disable existing ⌘⇧A

2. add new key:
openAddonsMgr();
⌘⇧A

thumbs up - thank you Jonathan Kamens!!

It's not compatible with the latest version of Firefox. Please update this extension as I use it all the time!

URGENT!

Firefox Update 57.0 is incompatible with this extension. Please update this extension soon and I'll change my rating to 5 stars.

I hate the hotkey "backspace"!!!
when I typed many words in text-box, and touch "backspace" accidentally.... you know what's happened.
This add-in could disable some hotkeys you don't like, and it's so tiny and easy to use.

no keyconfig on nightly completely destroys my workflow. you can patch the central source for your keybinds, but those source files are going to be replaced soon as well. There's nothing new in nightly i really need, anyway, but I do need this addon.

is to try and cobble something similar together. I actually just use Chrome with an Autohotkey script. But I don't use the "Custom Javascript" parts. I do have a ton of userscripts, and I assign them keyboard shortcuts.

You could try asking Mozilla for an API to change shortcuts, and/or try to make your own addon. You can assign constant shortcuts.

But a general purpose addon to do all this is beyond not only me but other developers I've talked to. The API just isn't there.

I absolutely rely on keyconfig. It's great.
Pleeaaaasssse make it work for FF57!!!

There's just really an equivalent API in WebExtensions, as far as I know. It's possible to replicate some of the functionality, but it would work completely differently, even from a user's perspective.

We do plan to keep it working for as long as XUL is available. Modifications necessary to keep it working with latest Thunderbird are planned. And It will continue to work with Firefox ESR until the user switches to version 61.

I would suggest that you look for addons that can replicate the features you enjoy, switching over to Firefox ESR to buy you more time. There is also SeaMonkey and Pale Moon which are maintaining XUL support.

There are definitely addons that will allow you to add new shortcuts in a page context. I don't know about replacing the ones built into Firefox, though.

Could you please make this add-on compatible with recent Thunderbird 52.3.0 and later?

Esta análise é para uma versão anterior da extensão (2016.2).

I have found someone who is willing to look into that.

So far, it's still working with both the latest release version (52.3.0) and the latest beta (56.0b3). So I have increased the compatibility as far as I can.

So it should currently work on latest Thunderbird.

Was Missing next/Previous tab so just added it. Wish all Addons were as configurable as this one.

For years I have had tabgroup helper overriding lastpass (alt+G) binding now finally I can disable it.
Thank you for solving yet another feature Firefox really needed. All developers should allow you to choose or disable key bindings their addons create. I am surprised there are not more conflicts. This add on is going in my must install collection!
