WE NEED TO LET MOZILLA MANAGERS KNOW THAT WE NEED APIs FOR SESSION MANAGER: PLEASE DO THE SAME. Even if Session Manager will not be ported, there will APIs which could be used by other session managers, like Tab Session Manager, My Sessions, or Tab Mix Plus.

Actually, I downgraded to Firefox 56 just for this add-on.
If you want this add-on to come back just as I do, then ,please, send a feedback to the firefox team to do something about it. Just press "Alt", then Help>submitFeedback... and write about your love for this add-on and don't forget to add the next link at the end of the message.

I am in agreement with all those who have been pleading for the return of Session Manager in the newest versions of Firefox. We are told that it is impossible to upgrade Session Manager due to code changes. But we are not told WHY. I mean, is it that you don't know how to work with the new code, or you just don't WANT to?
Or is there just some intrinsic feature of the newest Firefox that prevents any type of session managing? But if that were the case, there wouldn't be an alternative being suggested: Tab Session Manager. I have been using that and it SUCKS. Big time. Why can't Tab Session Manager have all the features that Session Manager did? Why can't we save the different SIZES of our windows within a single session, instead of all the windows coming back up in the exact same size? What's even worse is when a session I manually saved myself doesn't even come back up! Or a tab that wasn't even in the session shows up. Or sessions come up TWICE so I have double the number of windows!!! Or maybe not even double.... only SOME of the windows are opened twice.
Tab Session Manager is driving me bonkers and it SUCKS. Oh, did I already say that? Or..... maybe it's Firefox itself that is the culprit? I'm not at all sure that the newest version has been an improvement! I WANT SESSION MANAGER BACK, or I want at LEAST a new plugin that works exactly the same way.
Please.... Developer of Session Manager..... please tell us WHY you will not be able to create a new version that can be used with the new Firefox. It's not even possible? Or you don't WANT to? If you don't WANT to, why not find somebody who WILL?
(By the way, my five-star review is based on the OLD version of Session Manager that I loved. I'm totally pissed that it doesn't work anymore.)

Best Session Manager for any browser. I arranged my Firefox usage completely around this plugin. For each type of work I load the appropriate session and if something changes the session will automatically update. I have *hundreds* of sessions saved, each dedicated to one particular area of study, work project or just general area of interest. I switched back to FF56 and I will stay with that version until there is a Session Manager for a later FF version or for another browser.

Absolutely gutted it's gone. A fantastic add-on that never failed me. Trying desperately to get back the previous Firefox version.

Definitely the best browsing session manager I have ever had.
I switched back to older FF versions just to keep my sessions.
Well worth updating for compatibility with new FF versions.
Would be happy to pay for it.

This was the best manager I have ever had. I switches back to older FF versions just to keep my sessions. Three times I lost a lot of saved sessions using the build in session manager in FF Quantum. What do you think Michael if you make your manager payable?

The reason why I've swiched back to older Firefox and deactivated Updates. With this Add-on it's still better.
