I'm running version 2.0.0.9 and it works but when I installed it said that this version of minimizetotray would not work with 2.0.0.9 but as I said it does work but I'm just concerned that i might run into a major glitch and lose my e-mails

Hi,\r\nThis plugin is very good to make my taskbar and desktop more organized. I\'ve just done a short test on firefox 3.0.2b and this works, just a line should be changed.\r\nMatyas

An exclusive button to minimize the window to the system tray with the minimize botton would have been really nice.

MTT is a really usefull extension for the whole Mozilla suite, and particularly for Sunbird.
Thanks to the tip from sebespatak I managed to install it on Sunbird 0.7
Juste a little precision for this tip : don't unzip the whole .xpi to edit install.rdf, otherwhise the compression will make it unusable for Sunbird.
Just extract install.rdf as a file, edit and save it. Delete the existing install.rdf inside the archive, and then you just have to put your edited install.rdf into the archive, and to rename it back to .xpi to process to the installation !

I use this for Firefox, Sunbird, and Thunderbird. It gets a 9 because it's not yet updated for the latest Sunbird. Otherwise, top notch.

Since the beginning of installing programs on my pc, this has by far been THE most helpful add-on I've installed.

Smart little program - the genius is in its simplicity. Would like to see Firefox start as minimised in tray on Windows boot, though. Would give it 10/10 if it was available!

Very useful !! May I however suggest a shortcut [CTL]+... to get the browser back (maximize/reappearing) without any mouse click on the icon in the system tray ? Maybe it is a windows tweak...?

It works fine!
You have to modify the xpi before installing
- Download the add-on instead of install
- Modify the file extension to .zip
- Unzip the file
- Edit the Sunbird item in install.rdf, replace 0.3 to 0.7
- save, repack, rename to xpi
INSTALL & ENJOY

I like this plug-in and use it for Thunderbird. I use one profile for Linux and Windows and the only thing I don't like is modal message window during start that sais extension does not work under Linux. Is possible to hide this message?

I'm sure this is a very nice add-on, but the version of Sunbird I have is 0.7 and this is only compatible up to 0.3. At least that's the message I get when I try to install it.

For a messy person like me and a messy taskbar (windows), its pretty useful.

You can find a working version for Sunbird 0.7 (and maybe up to 0.9 later) here: http://08h.de/

I started using McAfee's SiteAdvisor extension for Firefox. There's a little bug in MinimizeToTray that causes SiteAdvisor to not display the icons in Google search results. Disable MinimizeToTray and SiteAdvisor displays the icons again in Google.
I'll keep it installed, but it will stay disabled until the bug is fixed. I hope this is an easy fix because outside that I love this extension...

So simple and perfect, exactly what I was looking for.

One suggestion: need an option to change the hotkey. CTRL + SHIFT + M is not practical, plus it conflicts with TMP's "merge" keyboard shortcut.

Very useful plugin! just needs the minimize to tray enhancer plugin to go with it!

I think it could be better with option "tray icon always visible: click on tray to minimize" ;)

I am just adding my voice to the chorus when I say thank you. I am using Thunderbird 2.0.0.6 and wanted to keep Thunderbird in the system tray along with my other always on communication programs such as soft-phones and instant messaging applications. Your add in makes that possible and it does just what I was looking for.
