Firefox 3.6.3 Radar Ani Failure - FIXED
This is a fix for anyone who lost radar image updates - for me this happened in Firefox 3.6.3 after it was working fine for months.
Browser: Firefox 3.6.3 installed over 3.0.6.
Weather Addon: Forecastbar Enhanced - version 0.9.6
Weather addon and radar animation were working perfectly.
Today Jul13-10 I noticed the Radar ani had not been updated since June 4, 2010.
I found this Addon page but no solution. I do not intend to update from Forecastbar Enhanced - version 0.9.6 at the moment.
To fix the lost ani problem:
Go to Accuweather by clicking the Radar icon.
Select Animate and set Your Location using the drop lists (NOT the zoomable map at lower right!).
Right click the animation and choose Copy Image URL to copy the image url to the clipboard.
Open the weather Addon's Options and select Radar then Custom and (I left size at size 640x480).
Paste the image URL you copied into the Custom URL field and click Apply.
The Animation drop list is grayed out but no matter.
Weather Settings will update and with the mouse over the radar icon radar animation should be working.
Is this URL stable? Not sure but it can be updated.
Be sure you are getting the URL of the animated GIF or you will only get a fixed image.
This is the URL I got for North America > Canada > Toronto:

PLEASE update for Firefox 4. This is one of my favorite anythings, it's up there with chocolate pudding. I've never had an addon display so much useful information.

Was great, then it quit updating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it still shows radar from May 18.

Firefox 3.6.3 will not start with this extension installed. Had to go back to an older version of firefox (3.5.7)

This is such a GREAT add-on for Firefox! I love it! I really like how easy it is to customize how much info it puts on the taskbar. I have two different profiles for my city, one with nighttime, daytime and extended temps, and the other just has current temps and forecasts. I can switch between them and adjust how much taskbar it uses. Plus, I really like the animated radar! Well done!

This extension borked FF 3.6.2 on my Centos 5 linux box. I had to disable it to get FF working again. Definitely NOT compabitle with FF 3.6.2.
Previously, I had been VERY happy with Forecastbar Enhanced and look forward to using it again once this bug is fixed.

This indicates it is compatible with Firefox 3.6.*. After four attempts to install it and continued getting the error this isn't compatible with Firefox 3.6; I give up.
To think I started with Firefox 3.6 when I did the install and then upgraded to Firefox 3.6.2 and still the same problems of Firefox giving the error this plugin is not compatible with 3.6...

The best weather add-on I have found, and I think I've tried them all. It provides lots of information and lots of options. My setup is heavily customized and does just what I want it to do.

This is positively awesome with one caveat - I keep having to reinstall because after a week or so Firefox will stop displaying and saying there are compatibility issues in version 3.5.8. If you could correct this problem with constant updates, this would be worthy of 5 stars and a paycheck.
