My Reviews

Manually sort folders

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Downloaded this to get "local folders" folder back to the top after moving Thunderbird to laptop. All email accounts above local folders except the one that feeds it's inbox. Have tried renaming "Local folders" but no help...still at bottom. If anyone has solved this please reply. Thanks
The developer replied that local folders at the bottom is a Thunderbird standard...I'm sure he knows more than I, but prior to updating Tbird on this laptop, my local folders have always been at the top.

Browser Defender Toolbar

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I often slide my mouse cursor over one of the Browser Defender bubbles on a search page...this elicits the pop-up box and it stays on top...quite awhile and there's no consistent way to get it to go away until it decides to. Wish they'd put a 'close' button on the box and/or a setting in options for the number of seconds the box stays visible.
Also, when I do open a risky page...then the box would be nice...the orange bar at the top and change in color isn't enough. WOT and McAfee both open a warning page when I click to open an untrustworthy or risky site...I can then choose to go ahead and open the site or not...usually I choose not. This is a much better system. I replaced Siteadvisor on this PC with BD and want to stay with it but these are changes that need to be made.

Bitdefender QuickScan

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

GREAT ADD-ON: Installed with no problems; 1st scan was 1-2", Next scan about 2 seconds. Plays well with Avast, my regular anti-virus. BitDefender is highly rated for established malware and this should access same signatures in the cloud though it doesn't scan all files...just the running ones. It's an excellent, low overhead, no cost addition to my anti-malware arsenal.
