My Reviews

eQuakeAlert!

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a good extension for people who are interested in earthquakes. The two things I don't like is that it takes up a lot of room in the status bar, and it doesn't shake the window during an earthquake although it should.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.1).

autoHideStatusbar

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

When I first found out about this extension through Google, I thought, "Great! I can make my browser even more streamlined!", thinking it was like Hide Tab Bar.

The annoying thing about this extension is that the only two options when to show the status bar is when hovering over a link, or when a page is loading. But for people like me, I have a couple of icons that I often use in the status bar. Could the developer add a keyboard shortcut to show the status bar, or something of the like?

For now, a get-around is to put the AHS button in my toolbar, so I can disable it when I like.

Other than that, it's a great idea and a great extension.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4).

wikiHow Toolbar

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Glad to see it's finally on mozilla.org!

Pros: I think this is an excellent toolbar, and includes everything a wikiHow editor might need, including search, talk page notification, number of unpatrolled edits, and featured article edit notification.

Cons: One thing I dislike about the toolbar is that it is a little bit bulky, and not streamlined like I have configured my browser to be. Also, you can't customize it using Right Click > Customize.

But overall, a great toolbar.
