Никогда не писал отзывов, но тут прямо пришлось зарегаться, чтобы написать.
Просто нет слов, самый обалденный speed start что я видел (а перепробовал немало).
Ни одной лишней ф-ции, все по делу. Все чего я хотел о стартовой страницы, тут реализовано полностью.
Вот так и нужно писать дополнения, юзабилити отменное.

Очень-очень удобное расширение, никак выпендрёжей,всё так как и мечтал я! А то со вкладками всегда,какая-то байда! Спасибо тебе друг! НЕ БОЛЕЙ!

Over the years i have used 2-3 different start menus,dials etc...
Speed Start it actually is the most lightweight of them all !!! Including major configurations and different sizes for each icon!!!

Зашёл просто поискать замену спид диал а то в 48 версии мозилы заблокировали и не ожидал что найду что-то подобное чем ваш спид старт, супер, спасибо

Нашел, спасибо!
Добавьте возможность настройки при щелчке мышки открывать в новой вкладке, но не переходить на нее.
Часто нужно открыть сразу несколько сайтов для анализа, было бы удобно просто пощелкать на иконки.

Спасибо за дополнение, до этого ставила всякие разные, везде чего-то было не так ), это чертово FVD или как его там два раза самопроизвольно исчезало вместе с закладками. А ваше простое, быстрое и все как надо)) спасибо.

Крайне удобное и гибко настраиваемое.
А, главное, все диалы автоматически сохраняются как закладки.
Так, как это и должно быть!

Dev is super responsive in replying and fixing stuff.

Change the background color does not work, it is displaying #ANANAN where it should be the code of color

I recently started using Chrome.
There are no add-on, which corresponds to Speed Start to Chrome.
By all means, I want to be able to use any Chrome.
Maybe it will happen someday, but I don't have a particular roadmap.

Спасибо за отзыв. Фокус на странице закладки, открываемой из расширения, находится вне его контроля. Подробнее ответил на форуме поддержки.

От всей души желаю развития Speed Start!
Но у меня не работает восстановление с резервной копии. Переустанавливаю дополнение, делаю закладки, новую резервную копию. Снова удаляю дополнение. При восстановлении выдает ошибку. Исправьте пожалуйста. В остальном,- самое лучшее дополнение из виденных мной аналогов!

Хочется возможности установки собственного фона, автообновления миниатюр с настройкой.
Хочется запихнуть вкладку с сайтом, на котором хочется видеть изменения постоянно не посещая.
В цело программа шикарна, можно по своему вкусу настроить startpanel.

This is really a great addon and works as expected. Thank you for your good work!
I have three suggestions, which I think these will greatly improve usabilty of the addon:
1. When opening a new tab with sspeed please set the focus to the address bar (maybe this already works as I found a configuration key extensions.sstart.focus, but I do not know which value to set). I have no search widget in place!
2. Dynamically resize the items when the window is resized
3. Modernize the GUI. But hey, I know: Tastes are different :-)
I am using Speed Start 2.0.6
EDIT: As of version 2.0.7b2 the focus problem is solved. Thanks for your great support!!!

This extension has potentials to be really awesome. I love the freedom to create your own layout and scale bookmarks up and down. Generally I love all the features that are there, but because of the ones that are not there, I unfortunately can't use this extension. I'll try to shortly describe what I would like to be included. The first ones the most important:
Move multiple “widgets” (bookmarks and folders):
I very often need to add a bookmark on the top of the page or between the ones already existing, and that's currently not possible without moving all the bookmarks and folders individually. There could be a selection option, maybe a select all (ctrl+A / cmd+A), maybe content could automatically be pushed down when dragging a bookmark above it. Also, the page expands when dragging bookmarks and folders down to the bottom and to the right (not sure about left), but not to the top.
Select URL bar in new tabs:
So we can write the URL without having to select the URL bar ourselves each time opening a new tab.
Default colour option for all colours:
I like my background to be light gray, not white, which I can define for each individual folder, but not as a default. Generally I would like to set the defaults for all the colour settings.
Here come the less important:
Default size related to grid:
When setting the default size of widgets, to keep the grid layout, you need to manually calculate the grid size. It would nice to just be able to chose how many columns and rows you want a widget to be as default, instead of pixels.
Clickable path:
It would be cool with a little path in the upper corner when you're in a sub-folder, that let's you click on the name of mother-folder to go to it. Like in the file browser in Windows and most Linux systems.
Add a note:
Simple text notes displayed just like the bookmarks and folders would be bad ass.
That's all I can think of. Hope it's useful. Let me know if you implement any of it.

1. Multi-widgets operations is unlikely to be implemented in the foreseeable future
2. URL bar is always selected when new tab opens, unless "Give focus on start" option enabled for one of search widgets
3. Background color inheritance is helpful idea, I'll take a close look on it

In some future update would it be possible to only have the right-click show the menu when speed start is "unlocked". I use the "private tab" add-on and the right-click is superseded by speed start. So, for now, I must open a web page, then right click the tab to get the private tab option to show.
Otherwise this add-on is working perfectly...good job!
