Installed without any problem in Iceweasel 3.0 and saves and displays web pages as single files flawlessly. I truely believe this should be part of the standard Firefox package so that everyone would be able to read MAFF files; it makes it much easier for people who aren't web gurus to compose and post web pages. I've been waiting years for this.

Absolutely brilliant. I've hoped for this in FF for a long time. It installed without difficulty and worked the first time. I saved a page with MAF and opened it with IE7. Excellent work... Thanks.

I experienced a bug with this add-on. This add-on disables the "Save As..." box when installed on FF 3.0.7 on Win XP Pro SP3. When this add-on is not installed (or is disabled), there appears a "Save As..." box when you right click a link or a picture and choose Save... or a similar option from the context menu displayed. This box allows you to specify the location and filename for the intended download. When this add-on is enabled, this box no longer appears, means you cannot save anything from the web without some special trick (which ya gotta guess yourself depending upon how you've configured the browser). For most not-so-techie-people, this simply means no downloads at all!

I don't know if this is the case with me alone, since I didn't check it on other systems. If this is a general case, I hope the author/s will fix it soon...

Other than that, it works satisfactorily.

The problem you experienced seems to be specific of your system, however it's worth investigating, since it may affect other people as well.

The operating system where I perform the tests is the same as yours, and I never experienced something similar. The difference may reside, for instance, on the other installed extensions.

I'd be grateful if you could report the problem to the MAF mailing list (http://maf.mozdev.org/feedback.html), maybe with some more information such as possible error messages from the Error Console.

New comment to version 0.19.7:
It is now one of the best Firefox-add-ons, working very good!!! It is my standard for saving web-sites! Thank you!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.9.1).

By default, Mozilla Archive Format will archive exactly what the browser would save when you select the "Web Page, complete" option in the "Save As" dialog box.

However, if you enable the integrated Save Complete extension from the preferences, usually all the images will be saved.

I'm absolutely thrilled to see this fantastic add-on back. I have loads of pages in maff format which could only be accessed using something like winrar, and the alternative seemed to be going back to FF2. Thanks for resurrecting this wonderful extension..

Failed for me miserably on Firefox 3.0.5 Hangs, displays blank page, reports script errors. Did not display any MHT I have.

My best guess: MHT standard not implemented in full, since all MHT I have are made with Firefox/UnMHT or Opera.

Brilliant for saving zip-compatible .maff files.
However, its .mht files aren't very compatible with IE for which the UnMHT extension is better (as Paulo graciously acknowledges!)

I've been using MAF for several years, beginning with FF 1.5, and it's much better than any other method of saving websites, including MHTs. MAFF has two huge advantages: save multiple tabs in one file and smaller file size compared to MHT for the exact same content.

Kudos to Paolo for updating it for Firefox 3. He's also made other improvements, and it now works better than ever.

I recently started to use the AutoPager add-on, which loads multiple pages in a single window (such as multiple pages of a forum). MAF is fully compatible with it, so you can open a long thread full of pics in a single tab and save everything in MAF as one file. Plus, I can save several tabs of these threads all in one file. Very nice!

MAF 0.8.0 for Firefox 3 is now available at the official site:

http://maf.mozdev.org/

It has a lot of improvements over the previous version 0.6.3.

It is also heading towards greater compatibility with UnMHT, so that you'll be able to use both extensions at the same time.

This is a one of my favourite features,

It was an uphill battle to get it to work in FierFox 2, and now that I am using FF3 It doesn't work any more.

Please update it!

I limit my self to just 10 extensions and this one is No. 2 on my list.
