Without this AddOn it was impossible to continue using Exchange mail with the current pc hardware. Now I even prefer TB over Outlook. Support from Beonex is absolutely great!! They also fixed all minor issues with the setup on different machines.

Still waiting for the saved search bug to be fixed (Exchange accounts vanish from saved searches on restart). Looks like it will never be, so back to one star. If you guys actually fix the bug instead of saying you will "soon", I will retract this.

Hesitant to pay directly for an email service cause i am a zoomer and used to internet stuff being free / paid using data economy. I think it is worth it in this case. If you are trying to sign up a microsoft email to thunderbird, and it doesn't work - there is a great chance that Owl will.

I hope that this feature will become free / integrated into an official Thunderbird subscription thing in the future instead of it seeming like a seperate thing (make things more coherent)

I have been using this excellent, life-saver of an add-on for more than 1+ year. Thunderbird has since become my one-and-only use for Personal+Business email. Not only the ability to put the time/effort to actually have a damn-near full-featured add-on supporting Msft Exchange, but to then be 'on it' so well that bug fixes have solution+fix deployed in less than 24hours... every. single. time. -- at least it appears [and one can look at most if you like, if you don't believe]

Thanks again for putting forth the effort so it could be available for ppl like me--and our love for linux OS utilization.

I'm using this add-on with EWS, and it works to my full satisfaction for most incoming mail. However, I have also set-up a message filter for particular incoming mail, that fails in 2 ways: 1) this filter does not run automatically as new mail arrives; 2) when running it manually, the configured "forward message to" uses the default SMTP server to forward the filtered messages, instead of EWS.

I am also missing some Thunderbird account settings for this EWS connection, e.g. the "Junk Settings".

I'm glad that Owl with EWS works well for you, despite being in beta. The EWS protocol implementation in Owl is marked beta, because some special features are not implemented. Also, independent of EWS, Owl does not implement 100% of all features of Thunderbird. That includes some rarely used filter actions, and the spam filter. This is documented on https://support.beonex.com/help/en-us/4-features/23-unsupported-feature

That said, the "forward message" filter is implemented in Thunderbird. If this code does not use the standard way to send mails, it is difficult for us to fix that.

A great addition that allows you to connect your office365 account in just one click! And immediately everything works!
But above all praise, the technical support team, I was surprised by such a humane attitude, it seems to be a rarity now. Thank you so much for a wonderful job in every way!

I'm fully aware that is not that easy to implement something that is working with the Microsoft Outlook out of the box and this extension seem to work quite fine, which make it really easy to use.

What I didn't manage to do till now is to subscribe to an shared account calendar. Maybe I just oversee this option but I would really apreaciate if there is more docuremtation what is possible and what still have to be implemented.

Thank you for the update. The owl team has been working hard on this despite the fact the error might come primary from o365 server update!
Friendly speaking, I has used owl for several years and it has been a good add-ons to user with the exchange o365 server.

I use Thunderbird. I like Thunderbird. OWL lets me do my work email my way rather than caving in to my work's preference that I use Microsoft products. I store my messages locally on my computer rather than on the server. MailBird is not a good substitute. I was looking into making MailBird and MailStore Home substitute for Thunderbird and OWL because OWL stopped working last night. I am delighted and very relieved that OWL was fixed. Now I have to go and catch up on email!

The last two years owl worked nicely with office365 exchange (OWA) and i was very pleased.
Outlook is missing a lot of search features and is very uncomfortable when different EMail providers and formats are used. OWL enables to read emails and use the calendar of exchange.

But Caveat! Microsoft makes it hard for add-ons by changing the interface.

From around Januar 6th to January 10th suddenly a number of problems occured:
- attachments were not downloaded (their name visible but strikethrough)
- ctrl+u to show the source code of messages showed a white page
- reply to emails had neither the address nor the original email cited
It looked like the OWA authentification did not allow the download of emails but only displaying emails.
(Versions: TB 102.6.1 and owl 1.0.1)

I sent a bug report here on January 9th in the afternoon, and on January 10th the bug was fixed (1.0.2). Great service.
