This Thunderbird extension automatically changes the From: field in replies to whatever the original sender’s email had in To:, but only if there is a + in the email and there is only one address in To:.

Doesn't do anything for replies to emails with multiple recipients.
Gets in the way when you're replying to an email from a "Sent" folder - if the To: address contains a + character, sets From: to the original recipient as advertised, but that's not what you want usually.
This version adds an option in the config editor that allows the extension to work even if there is no plus character in the To: address. The option is at “extensions.replyasoriginalrecipient.use_plus”. The default is true, meaning that the address has to contain a plus character. (That's the only change. The default behavior is exactly the same as in the previous version. If you aren't interested in this feature, there's no need to upgrade.)
