Cool plugin.
Sugestion to next version: For me as a german user, is it possible to make an option to change the format from cw to kw (for calenderweek and kalenderwoche)
<strike>BTW: I think I use newest versions, disabled this plugin and the calenderweeks were gone, not like previous posts stated...?!</strike>
Sorry 'bout this little confusion, Ubuntu had version 36 in repositories, now I have version 45 and I see what you are talking about. Mea culpa.

This was a very simple yet very useful addon.

Since Thunderbird 45 / Lightning 4.7 versions, the addon is no more compatible (if Show Calendar Week addon is enabled, no calendar entry can be displayed in the month view of Lightning).
Since Lightning 4.7, the week date display is integrated, so this addon is no more needed.

Great add-on, but freeze TB 45 - I have to switch-off, and I am waiting for new version!

to say I have been desperate about this may be a bit exaggerating but ...
I love business phone conversations like this:
'let's do that in calendar week xx' ... Then I have short look at lightning ... grrh why didn't I stay with Outlook (I hate it) ... some guesswork: could it be Mar 21-27th??? Or trying to find a way to ask the business partner without confessing that I don't know the week numbers ...

Finally, that is gone now. really useful addon.
