compatible with which version of thundrbird ??? I try 7.01 and 9.01

Compatibility is written in information version. Furthermore, you should have read addon description : Please note also there won't be any version compatible for newer versions of TB above v3.2a1pre. If you intend or are using a higher TB version, please consider using Auto Resize Image which offers more features and will be maintained for future TB releases (Auto Resize JPEG is its prequel).

Great, i'll be suggesting it to anyone using tb who sends me large pictures :)

What would be really awesome is to be able to resize images in incoming messages.
e.g. someone sends me a huge picture, i want to keep the message but i'd like to thumbnail the image(s) they've attached to save space

@johnsmithbisley: I've juste tested with TB 3.0.4 (fr). It behaves as expected. I strongly suggest you to uninstall any version, restart TB, make sure it's uninstalled then reinstall.
For better experience for everybody, i also suggest you to post messages for JPEG Image Resizer on dedicated thread, not this one ;).
Thanks for your report. You can also contact me directly by email: maybe could we together make this addon a better one.

Thanks so much for trying to fix this. Unfortuantely, it still does not work properly. Version 0.3.11 with Thunderbird 3.0.4 shrinks the picture whether you say yes or no. I had it installed to ask each time.

Back to ShrinkPic for me again.

Although version 0.2.4 appears to work on Thunderbird 3 there is a fatal flaw. If you choose not to automatically resize, you get the question when sending, say no but it still resizes. Even after disabling this addon it still resizes.

I have had to uninstall it and go back to ShrinkPic, which works perfectly, until this addon can be fixed.

Please add inline pics support for TB.

Of the two (2!) automatic image resizing addons that I could find, this was the better, however that is not to say that it is as fully featured as I would like.

This later version now works for me on Thunderbird 3.0.1. While I was waiting for it to be fixed, I found ShrinkPic from http://www.onthegosoft.com/shrink_pic.htm?referer=shrinkpic

This addresses all the requests for features to be included in Auto Resize JPEG but of course it's not a Thunderbird add-on. Hopefully Auto Resize will incorporate some of these requests soon.

Very nice and useful Add-On.

However would be great, if the Add-On would not ask me if I want to resize a JPEG, when the JPEG is already smaller than the values in the Add-On's settings.

Example:
- - - - - - - -
Add-On-Settings: Max. Width: 1024 pixel; Max. Height: 1024 pixel.
Real picture values: Width: 512 pixel; Height: 512 pixel.
Expected behaviour: In that case I should not be asked if I want to resize the JPEG, because there is nothing to resize.

Nice ad-on. But I wish to be asked what resolution I want, each time I send photos. Presently, you must go into the ad-on to set it up each time. There should be a pop-up menu that asks what resolution is desired each time a photo is sent, and should be able to turn off this popup if desired. Also, it's confusing that it asks for maximum resolution height and width, then asks if you want POOR, BETTER, GOOD, and BEST. Which is BEST FOR EMAIL? Should include the resolution corresponding to each option. Thanks for the improvements since I last commented. It's getting better all the time! Tom

This kept giving me the error "Type.Error Components.Classes[cid] has no properties". However, I like that I can configure it and forget it. I also tried "Shrunked Image Resizer" which worked well for me, but neither of them resize inline images.

Great ad-on. When this ad-on was downloaded and installed, it worked great! Only problem was figuring what resolution size to specify (under OPTIONS within the ad-on) that was best for emailing photos. Looking through my digital camera manuals, I found 640 wide x 480 high to be a common recommended size for emailing photos. So I used that and it worked great. Only improvement I'd suggest is adding a few resolution sizes (HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW (Best for Email) to pick from.

I have been using Auto Resize JPEG for a year and it is a brilliant add on and should score 5 stars..... BUT something has changed and I have had to uninstall it. It now alters images - changes the colours and removes black from an image. I am using TB version 2.0.0.23 (20090812) on a Vista 64bit PC. Can't seem to find contact details for the developer either.

Works ok, but i miss to set the size of the rezised pictures when sending (is only under settings) and progressbar would be nice too. Always looks like crashed.

I love this add-on! It makes sending photos really easy. Attach your photos, click send and a window opens and asks if you want to resize the jpegs you are sending. Click yes and they are automatically resized to fit your email window. Click no and they go unaltered. How easy is that?

Did not work for me. Error messages are: "Type.Error Components.Classes[cid] has no properties.
Then it asks to be re-installed but I tried many times without success. This is on XP.

I enjoy it but Auto Resize misses the 5 stars because :
- when I send a lot of pictures, it renames my pictures with a long and strange figure ;
- When I forward or draft my message, it reduces again the pictures ;

A release with an option that asks if you want to reduce or not your pictures will be great. Sure the issue of the renaming is easy to solve... I'll be fan and you'll get your 5 stars ;-)) .

Thanx for the job.
