As others have noted, even the Bugfix 0.8.6 version listed below, does not work with TB 52.9.1. So sad, as this is the only add-on that provides the needed functions for newsgroups. I can't believe someone is not developing this.

Sorry, but the so-called "bug-fix" versions proposed by Joe Feise don't work for me. I'm running TB 45 on both Mac and Windows clients. In all cases, some headers (e.g., "date" and "subject" remain blank even with the so-called "bug-fix". Looks like Mnenhy has reached the end of the road. I'm very sorry as this was one of the main reasons I moved to Thunderbird. Very disappointing.

As others have said already, mnenhy doesn't work with recent TB versions anymore.
There is a bug report about it on mozdev, and somebody posted a fixed version. I've tried it on Win10 and Linux (both 64-bit) with the latest TB version (45.7.1), and it works fine for me.
I've tried to post a link to it here, but that vanished. It can be found with a Google search for "stanio mnenhy". Or look up bug number 26220 on mozdev's bugzilla. Make sure you install the mnenhy-0.8.6.1.2-stanio.xpi version from 2016-07-10.
Maybe the link stays up now: https://bitbucket.org/stanio/mnenhy/downloads

Mail headers aren't shown anymore, central Inbox, Sent etc. for all accounts is empty, sometimes it's even not possible to select anything in the menu bar.
Deactivating the addon instantly cured all of these problems, and I also tried deactivating all other addons except Mnenhy. WIth Mnenhy active, TB shows the faulty and erratic behaviour which instantly stops when I deactivate the addon.

No email visualisation (even double-clicking on message), no header.
All works fine after desactivate it.

Hi,
as TB Header tools extension is no more supported, how can I add notes to messages. I want them to be searchable via the thunderbird search engine and I want them to be synced between several computers.

In cooperation "Mnenhy" with "Tb Header Tools Extension" i can write some notes or comments directly to the emails.
With the extension "ColumnsWizard" its possible to add a column "Notiz" (note) to the threadpane.
Thank you for your helpful work!

Great add-on but completely broken in Thunderbird v31. Looking forward for an update!

UPDATE:
Happiness was fleeting indeed :)
Mnenhy 0.8.6 worked with Thunderbird until TB was updated to version 31. At least the custom headers feature of Mnenhy 0.8.6 (the one I use most) doesn't work anymore with Thunderbird 31.
So we're stuck with TB 24.* until Mnenhy's developer can update it to work with the latest versions of Thunderbird (crossing fingers! ;) )
Anyway, I'm keeping the five stars for this review because Mnenhy is such a great add-on.
--------
I can confirm that the new version of Mnehny (0.8.6) works perfectly with Thunderbird 24. Thanks, Karsten!!!!

Doesn't do anything at all to my Thunderbird headers. No function = 1 star. If it's not going to work, there should at least be an error message.

I can confirm, since TB 24 headers are displayed incorrectly. ;(5 stars note is for past time and hopefully the add-on will be shortly updated.TIA :)

Love it! Installed it for the encoders/decoders feature, works as advertised ;-)

If you use Gmail Buttons, you must disable Custom Headers in Preferences for this add-on. Otherwise, you will not see Gmail labels, and you may receive constant JavaScript alerts when you view a message.

Mnenhy used to be an absolutely essential extension for me, because it made using POPFile for SPAM filtering fairly convenient. Unfortunately, the author has not been able to keep up with Thunderbird's development, and every couple iterations of the software break Mnenhy. In current versions of Thunderbird, it causes the email preview pane to misbehave badly, and prevents message windows from displaying at all.
This was a great extension, but it appears to be dead. Even if it's brought back to life, Thunderbird's rapid development cycle, combined with the author's occasional update cycle, makes it unusable in the long term.

Works great with TB 6 - finally ;-)
A big THX to Karsten for all his efforts!
Mnenhy brings a new level of usability to TB. Definitely 5 stars!
