It is a pity that we cannot use slideshow addon with new tb versions. The solution is to install a lightweight image viewer for example viewnior in case of linux system and associate jpg files with this program. Works quite fine.

Unfortunately it can not be patched via "maxVersion" to work with 68, too bad, maybe somebody can come up with a new solution? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Due to other issues with 68, uninstalled 68 and installed 60.9.1 again, will stay at 60.x now forever, sorry TB, don't have time for all these update problems again and again.

I don't understand exactly what to modify in chrome.manifest I have those 4 lines :

1 overlay chrome://messenger/content/msgHdrViewOverlay.xul chrome://slideshow/content/tbirdOverlay.xul
2 content slideshow chrome/content/
3 skin slideshow classic chrome/skin/
4 style chrome://global/content/customizeToolbar.xul chrome://slideshow/skin/slideshow.css

should we add [appversion&lt;59.0a1] or [appversion&lt;61] or [appversion<61] ?

This extension works with TB 60 and modifications indicated by j917863 but "options" does not work. An other modification has to be made in the internal file options.xul (in chrome/content/). add in line 2 :
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/css" href="chrome://messenger/skin/preferences/preferences.css"?>
as indicated in https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/Add-ons_Guide_57 , § "Changes in thunderbird59"
I have also modified chrome.manifest by replacing the line concerning customizeToolbar :
style chrome://global/content/customizeToolbar.xul chrome://slideshow/skin/slideshow.css appversion&lt;59.0a1
style chrome://messenger/content/customizeToolbar.xul chrome://slideshow/skin/slideshow.css appversion&gt;=59.0a1

Top script!
Updated install file as per j917863 instructions and it's working with TB 60.4.
Hopefully authors decides to update script for new TB since this is great addon for Thunderbird.

Updated script per instructions below from j917863 and Slideshow works fine on ver 60.3.2. Windows 10
Opened the renamed zip file with 7zip and edited install.rdf with Notepad.
Removed the old add on
Rebooted Thunderbird
Installed by clicking the Gear symbol next to the search window under Tool>Add-Ons>Extensions and choosing Install Add-on from File
Rebooted Thunderbird

Edit:
Note if you click on Tools>Add-on Options>SlideShow it will cause Thunderbird to freeze requiring the use of Task Manager to close the program.

Unfortunately not working with TBv60.
I tried the suggested workaround (editing install.rdf to alter supported versions) but if you do that TB says the Add-on is corrupt. That's a pity because the extension was great, we need something like that with the new TB.

Das Top-Add-On wie ich finde - benutze ich ständig und bin begeistert!
Jetzt wird es nicht mehr akzeptiert - nach Update auf TB 60.03 - hoffe, dass es zeitnah angepasst wird... danke!

Slideshow is almost perfect extension! The one option I really miss is the print option for currently opened picture. That's 'must-have' option for me.

Nice tool. Tiff support would be nice but I have another problem.

On Mac it has conflict with system shortcut command H. It hides frontmost app. But in Thunderbird it launch Slideshow add on.

Helps me to preview Mails with many Picture-Attachments.

Bat when saving a selected pic with "Ctrl s " the Original-Filename ist not used,
the Saving-Filname ist "undefined", so i have to rename the Filename manually.

Is there a way to correct this?
