Employer switched to Outlook with our own domain and I just couldn't get it to play nice with thunderbird. The outlook web client is not very intuitive.
This worked pretty much instantly. The $10 a year is a very reasonable price.

Enables me to use Thunderbird in my work environment instead of having to use the Outlook web interface. The developers responded reasonably quickly to a support question I sent with excellent information. Fantastic add-on!

Ich habe Eule jetzt seit Jahren (inzwischen 3x10€ bezahlt) und bereits dreimal hat das Add-On meinen Account und meine Daten komplett gelöscht - meistens nach einem größeren Thunderbird-Update. Ich mußte dann jedesmal wieder alles eingeben.

Der Support war anfangs noch gut dabei, auch wenn das Problem nicht wirklich identifiziert werden konnte, aber jetzt habe ich gar keine Antwort mehr erhalten.

Ich werde jetzt eine andere Lösung einrichten.

Ihr Konto ist nicht gelöscht, sondern erscheint nur nicht, weil die Version des Addons zu alt ist und nicht zu Ihrer Thunderbird-Version paßt. In diesem Falle lädt Thunderbird das Addon nicht, und dann kann Prinzip-bedingt auch Ihr Konto nicht scheinen, weil Owl ja das Konto im Thunderbird erscheinen läßt.

Die aktuelle Eule ist schon lange mit TB 115 kompatibel. Wahrscheinlich haben Sie die Auto-Updates für die Eule abgeschaltet (per Default sind Auto-Updates an, d.h. Sie müssen Sie manuell ausgeschaltet haben). Wenn Sie die Auto-Updates wieder anschalten, sollte dieses konkrete Problem gelößt sein. Bitte stoßen Sie ausserdem manuell ein Update der Eule an.

I've been using Thunderbird for my work (Office 365) email using OWL. Thank you.
However, I stopped being able to modify tasks that I make through Thunderbird. Whenever I try to add, edit, or remove a task I receive the following error:
Error code: MODIFICATION_FAILED
Description:
aNewEvent.startTimeZone is undefined.

I'm on Thunderbird 115 but was having the same issue on a older version (102).

This is working OK. However, I have a technical problem. This is perhaps not the right place to ask but I don't know where is. So I am asking anyway, hoping that the developer may help. There is a link in an email which starts with "owl://outlook.office.com/...", and when I click on it, it asks "Choose an application to open the owl link." I chose both my browser and TB, but none worked. The link works when I use Outlook on my iPhone (it links to somewhere within the same email). Please advise. If this can be resolved I'd definitely give 5 stars.

Das PlugIn funktioniert bei Exchange over Active Sync nicht richtig.
- Der Posteingang wird nicht synchronisiert (nur andere Ordner).
- Umlaute bzw. UTF-8 ist ein schon länger nicht gelöstes Problem.
Die Antworten des Supports lassen auf sich warten und haben leider nicht weitergeholfen.

This Addon overrides the Security Grant Question after first Login on it's own, that you'll see in a fraction of a second. This behavior is unacceptable and results in a complete loss of trust.

you may revoke the grants in the "my App" dashboard in your Microsoft 365 Account.

We have code to log in automatically, fill out username and password etc., because that was a feature that many users demanded. We got 1-star reviews when people had to log in manually.

But I'm not aware of code in Owl to override this grant question. I just checked the code again and didn't find it, either.

I just checked My Apps, as you said. I saw tons of apps that I never explicitly granted access to. All the Microsoft apps are granted access, without my explicit consent.

That said, if you don't trust Owl, please do not install it. If you do trust Owl and ask us to check your email, then you have already granted your consent. So, even if it was as you said, it's not a problem.

In OAuth2, the permissions requested are fine-grained. Owl requests only those permissions necessary for operating Owl properly.

Is there any actual problem? Is Owl anyhow leaking your account data ourside your computer and your server? Given that the source code is readable, it would be easy to find such problems.

Fonctionne très mal. A chaque fois que vous ouvrez Thuderbird, vous devez de nouveau entrer vos identifiants sur la page Webmail! Si c'est pour faire cela, autant aller directement dans le webmail!!!!

Login and saving login works for Office365 and most other customers. However, it's your company's login server that controls a) how often you have to log in, and b) determines whether we can save your login. So, if it doesn't work for you, it's most likely that your company login server is either mis-configured or is intentionally forcing a re-login every day.

Try configuring your account as EWS or ActiveSync account, in Owl settings. Maybe that helps.

But again, that depends on your company, and there's no way I can know or test that, because I don't have a login to your company.

Worked great until about a week ago. Lost ability to access my calendar. Then upon upgrading to TB 115, I lost my added account and am unable to re-add it through the addon preferences page.

EDIT: Discovered that my issue was caused by a library issue that is installed with thunderbird. After fixing the library issue, Owl returned to functioning normally.

Downloaded trial of product which did work for my customer and when trial was about to end, purchased a license. After 4 days of trying to get add on out of trial mode the publisher support resolution was to simply refund my purchase instead of making ONE attempt to help fix the problem. They arrogantly blamed me or my actions for the problem and then said I should give SEVEN days for them to resolve problem. Sad but support is king for me.

You probably entered the wrong email address during purchase, or closed the purchase window too early. Your purchases did not appear in your account. A refund is the only thing we could do at this point.

You say you purchased for your customer. That means you are a reseller. That's probably why you entered the wrong email address during purchase. We do not support that. If you use the normal purchase process, of clicking the button within Thunderbird, then it normally works.

Regarding your support requests, our website is https://www.beonex.com/owl/ and everything is linked there. If you write to other addresses, which are not our support, then of course there might not be an answer.

Lastly, you demanded a resolution within a few hours. We do not offer 24/7 support, and demanding that for a product which costs less than 10 EUR/year is too much to ask indeed.

So, in that notion: I'm sorry, but we are not able to adhere to your expectations.

Ich schreibe echt selten Bewertungen, aber hier ist es echt angebracht.
Wir nutzen Owl seit längerem und haben jetzt spezielle Anforderungen gehabt. Support angeschrieben. Super hilfreich und dazu noch total umgänglich und nett. Jetzt funktioniert alles so wie wir uns das vorgestellt hatten und das auch noch ohne Mehrkosten zu verursachen (multiple Lizenzen etc.).
Nutzung ist seit Jahren gut und simpel! Und ein super Support rundet die Sache ab. Ohne Frage 5/5

Skvělý doplněk, který přes Exchange zpřístupní nejen emaily, ale i kontakty a kalendář. Za těch pár korun na rok se to vyplatí.

Without this AddOn it was impossible to continue using Exchange mail with the current pc hardware. Now I even prefer TB over Outlook. Support from Beonex is absolutely great!! They also fixed all minor issues with the setup on different machines.

Hesitant to pay directly for an email service cause i am a zoomer and used to internet stuff being free / paid using data economy. I think it is worth it in this case. If you are trying to sign up a microsoft email to thunderbird, and it doesn't work - there is a great chance that Owl will.

I hope that this feature will become free / integrated into an official Thunderbird subscription thing in the future instead of it seeming like a seperate thing (make things more coherent)
