This add-on mirrors the addition, deletion or modification of items (tasks or events) in Lightning or Sunbird with the Evolution Data Server. This allows events and tasks added in Sunbird or Lightning to be shown in the Gnome Clock Applet. Note that this is a one way sync only. Events changed in Sunbird or Lightning will be copied to Evolution, but changes made in Evolution will not be reflected in Sunbird or Lightning.
Note also that, for now, this is global i.e. events from all calendars get copied to evolution, but they only get copied to the default evolution calendar, not to separate calendars.
Ubuntu user may wih to note that this extension is also now hosted in a PPA at https://launchpad.net/~markjtully/+archive/ppa as a package named xul-ext-evolution-mirror. If you wish to install the extension using the PPA instead, you should first uninstall the version obtained from addons.mozilla.org.
Starting with version 0.3, python-evolution is no longer required for this add-on to work.
