Hello,
there are another addon wich normally add a column, but can't do it with new version 115 of TB ...
They have found a workaround in the waiting time ... ==> They change the display of an existent column !!
==> Why couldn't you do the same ??
This addon is Xnote++
https://addons.thunderbird.net/fr/thunderbird/addon/xnotepp
They add informations to the column "size"
=> You may use the existent column Sender and Recipient to add real email into it ??

Maybe you let the user decide, which column they do not need to add the real sender and / or receipient.

Maybe a good idea for a time being workaround.

We all need this AddOn ;)

We would love to use it again.

Many thanks for your work

Super AddOn. Leider zwingen MS und Mozilla mich, auf eine neue TB Version zu aktualisieren, auf der dann dieses AddOn nicht mehr geht!
Hey Mozilla!! Macht nicht immer alles kaputt! So macht das gar keinen Spaß an diesem Projekt mitzuarbeiten!

I have reimplemented this add-on for Thunderbird 78 - search for add-on called "Full Address Column".

This is the single most important add on for Thunderbird. I don't understand, why this feature is not integrated into Thunderbird. Really. This helps so much to prevent scams!

Sadly, after working briliantly in previous versions, this addon (Show Address Only v0.2.0) has stopped working in Thunderbird 78.

Please could you update the addon to work in this new version, the addon is a brilliant and vital tool in identifying email senders.
Many thanks, sincerely.

A much needed and very useful extension.
Unfortunately, but it has bugs - after running Thunderbird, the `Sender` column is empty. You have to go to another folder and come back. Only then can you see the contents of the column `Sender`

( tested on Windows 10 and TB 68.6.0 (64 bits) )

Hello, basically a very helpful and extremely necessary Add-on. But the disappearing columns are boring.
I find the same behavior still with TB 68.5.0. Sometimes even the columns are removed completely, when restarting TB, and you have to configure the layout again. I deactivated all other Add-ons, but same result. Switching to another Folder and going back helps.
Hope, R.I.P. is addressing this topic asap.

Love it, dunno why always showing the full email adress is not a feature of TB. It makes it much easier to spot fake and spam emails.

I give only 3 asterisks, because of the current bug as described below:

When I open Thunderbird v68.4.1 (32bit) under Windows then by default the list of mails from the Inbox is displayed. The column "Sender[@]", created by "Show Address Only", then always is empty, while Thunderbird's own "From" already is filled. Only after switching to a different folder and then returning to Inbox the "Sender[@]"-field is filled. Can anybody confirm this strange behaviour? When I was still using Thunderbird v60 this problem didn't exist.

I just see that nsuruby wrote the same review on 8 January 2020.

My Thunderbird has recently been updated to v.68.3.1(32 bit).
After that the sender[@] does not appear at the inbox, although its box is ticked in the settings. Before it did without problems.
When I select another folder, e.g. sent or garbage can, it shows sender[@] there and after return to inbox also there !

I tried to fix the problem with deinstalling the addon, closing Thunderbird, starting it again and installing the addon again followed by closing and restarting Thunderbird. Still same problem.

It is clear that a work around is like described above, but it should work as before the update.

I'm using Thunderbird with Linux-Ubuntu.
Very useful function but I have same problem as JayUSA.
Many thanks

Does what it is supposed to. Helps detect spam. Dunno why thunderbird doesn't have this built in.

Very useful module to identify multiform spamers ! All the spams being moved to a separate folder, I sort the list by "sender" and it shows that the people who sends all this garbage are not so numerous as their apparent names.

This makes it easier to create filters (such as "sender contains xxx @") on the ISP's webmail or in the mail software and have these spams directed to the trash, from where they can possibly be reported to any organization that fight spam.

Fonction très utile. Serait'il possible d'avoir une option pour n'afficher que le nom de domaine (après @).

Very useful function. Would it be possible to have an option to display only the domain name (after @).
