Version 9.0.0 54.3 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 115.0 - 125.*

The 9.* version series is intended for Thunderbird 115.* Supernova.

The add-on has been extensively revised in version 9.* to be compatible with Thunderbird 115. Due to the necessary code changes and conceptual internal logic changes, new bugs could appear in this version series.

Changes
As of Thunderbird 115, the add-on no longer offers a button for the new "Unified Toolbar". The button to be used is now the button in the message header toolbar.

Note:
The add-on has to use so-called "experimental" APIs and therefore asks for the maximum permission "full access to your computer", which cannot be avoided. However, you can be sure that the add-on code has been checked and does not contain any unwanted functionality.

Translations
Unfortunately, the previous translations of the old add-on versions could not be adopted, especially as these were very incomplete due to new language elements. Thanks to nice people, there are already translations for English, German, Japanese and Upper/Lower Sorbian. Please contact us if you can contribute a translation - thank you!

Changes and fixes since version 9.0.0
  • 9.0.0 initial release for Thunderbird 115 Supernova

Version 8.1.5 55.0 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 102.4.0 - 111.0a1

Version series 8.* is intended for Thunderbird 102.*

The add-on has been completely revised in version 8.* to use webextension code as far as possible for Thunderbird 102.

Note:
So called "experimental" APIs must be used by the addon and therefore it will ask for the maximum permission "full access to your computer", what cannot be avoided. However, you can be sure that the addon code has been checked and does not contain any unwanted functionality.

Translations
Unfortunately, the previous translations of the old add-on versions could not be adopted, especially since these were very incomplete due to new language elements. Thanks to nice people, there are already translations for the 8.* series for English, German, Japanese and Upper/Lower Sorbian. Please get in touch if you can contribute a translation - thank you!

New features:
  • The keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+F5 (to trigger the button function) can now be customized.

Changes:
  • The options of the add-on can now be found directly in the add-on manager under the open list entry of the add-on (no longer in the tools menu).

Fixes:
  • A few users had an issue leading to unwanted permanently allowed HTML in prior addon versions. No cause of the error could be found. The version series 8.* has now been completely rewritten, so that the inexplicable problem will hopefully no longer occur with the users affected.

Changes and fixes since version 8.0.0
  • 8.1.5: Provides the toolbar button in main toolbar additionally in standalone message windows (again)
  • 8.1.3: Update used LegacyPrefs-API to version 1.9
  • 8.1.2: Created and use supernova like icons
  • 8.1.0: Created and use an own "messageContentPolicy-API" (see gitlab.com)
  • 8.0.4: Fix fatal error in addon due to (a false) case sensitive path name in 8.0.3
  • 8.0.2: Garbled settings (of the options used by the add-on) could be provoked by very fast multiple clicks on the add-on's button, which would lead to a theoretical security leak (undesirable permanently enabled/allowed options). This was actually prevented by a block variable for a very long time, but the problem may have reappeared due to changes related to necessary modern "async" code.

Features currently no longer possible:
At the moment the version series 8.* dropped the HTML mode / status indication element in the statusbar at the bottom of each window, due to missing possibilities in webextension techniques.

Version 8.1.3 54.9 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 100.0 - 108.0

Version series 8.* is intended for Thunderbird 102.*

The add-on has been completely revised in version 8.* to use webextension code as far as possible for Thunderbird 102.

Note:
So called "experimental" APIs must be used by the addon and therefore it will ask for the maximum permission "full access to your computer", what cannot be avoided. However, you can be sure that the addon code has been checked and does not contain any unwanted functionality.

Version 8.0.4 49.3 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 100.0 - 102.*

Version series 8.* is intended for Thunderbird 102.*

The add-on has been completely revised in version 8.* to use webextension code as far as possible for Thunderbird 102.

Version 7.0.6 98.7 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 91.0 - 100.0

Version series 7.* is intended for Thunderbird 91.*

Fixes and Changes
  • Garbled settings (of the options used by the add-on) could be provoked by very fast multiple clicks on the add-on's button in version 8.0.0 with Thunderbird 102+, which would lead to a theoretical security leak (undesirable permanently enabled/allowed options) . This has actually been prevented for a very long time by a block variable and so far could not be reproduced with add-on versions up to 7.*. Nevertheless, the protective code change was also ported back here for older add-on versions.

Version 6.3.8 98.4 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 78.0 - 80.0

Version series 6.* is intended for Thunderbird 78.*

Version 7.0.4 98.7 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 91.0 - 100.0

Version series 8.* is intended for Thunderbird 102.*

Version 5.7.8 94.0 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 68.0 - 72.0a1

Hotfix update: Go back to the complete code from version 5.7.4.
Version 5.7.7 brought unwanted changes to the locales, which leads to XUL errors.
Version 5.7.8 is now identical to 5.7.4 again, but has the intended entry "strict_max_version": "72.0a1" to prevent installation in Thunderbird 78.

Version 5.4.3 82.2 KiB Fonctionne avec Thunderbird 52.0 - 60.*

Bugfix to fix not correct recognized content encoding when using remoteContentBar.

Version 3.7.4 65.2 KiB Fonctionne avec SeaMonkey 2.20 - 2.39.*, Thunderbird 24.0 - 52.*

Version 3.7.4 is a small hot fix: The prior version 3.7.2 disabled JavaScript by default in the whole application. This resulted in complete missing JavaScript functionality in Seamonkey (including the Web-Browser part)!

This hot fix reverts the disabled JavaScript option to the prior value.

The easiest way to re-enable JavaScript is to:
1) Install Allow HTML Temp 3.7.4 update
2) If you can't wait for the add-ons update, you can alternatively open the Allow HTML Temp preferences / options window in add-ons manager and activate the JavaScript option.

Sorry for this annoying mistake!

Version 3.6.4 62.1 KiB Fonctionne avec SeaMonkey 2.17 - 2.27.*, Thunderbird 17.0 - 43.*

Version 3.6.4 is identical to the prior 3.6.3 release. Only the compatibility is checked and raised up for the upcoming Thunderbird 24 and Seamonkey 2.20 releases.
