Helped me to download the language Pack (through the panel icon "manage the language", and have an option to switch afterwards, So it's ok.

I tried the manual about:config method which didn't work. Installed this, works great and extremely useful/easy to use.
I am on version 39.0.3 of Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu.

EN: It's working perfect. Download, install, use it. You can get the language files you need with this program too and now you can switch from one language to the other one within only one profile. DE: Einfach downloaden, im Browser installieren, den Add-ons Manager starten, die fehlende Sprache kann mit diesem Tool gedownloadet werden und dann kann man, mithilfe dieses Add-on, von einer Sprache in die andere wechseln, bei Bedarf den Browser neu aufstarten. Einfacher gehts nicht. Tolles Programm - thanks a lot.

Smooth, fast, convenient, does what it says on the tin, doesn't get in the way. Offers a small, well-chosen collection of actions under one button. Incredibly helpful for localization. This is what add-ons should be :)

FYI I'm running it in Aurora, version 31.0a2 (2014-06-08).

I tried all language switcher here at mozilla, but this is really the best one. Even when you like to change the language for your Firefox, you can download it with this Addon and you can then change the language what you target! Perfect, thank you very much!
