This is exactly what I am looking for.
I got lots of duplicate contacts. Can I install this addon to version 102.11, what could happen with incompatible version?
Otherwise when will this add-on be updated??

It works. Finds duplicates in addressbook and user can select which entry is deleted.

Thanks for this helpful addon. It helped me to clean my address books from duplicates. Otherwise it would have been quite a big effort to check everything.

Great Addon, helped me a lot while refactoring thousands of contacts I've collected through years. It would be great always to see all fields even they werr ignored when comparing so it would be easier to understand the differences between two contact entries when all compared fields might be the same.

As written in the documentation:
It has been a deliberate decision not to show all fields by default for the sake of better overview when comparing.
The most usual and important fields are always shown.
There is a list of field types that are always hidden, which is pre-configured with those rather obscure technical fields rather anyone would like to see, and which you have the freedom to adapt.
The remaining types of fields are shown whenever there is a difference in their values.
So you should not really miss anything.

The add-on meanwhile supports Thunderbird 68+. So you may consider updating your review.

Superb product - lost all of my Thunderbird contacts, but use Gmail, so they still existed, although without subfolders. Imported into Thunderbird as VCF, de-duped and edited 400+ contacts to 201 contacts in less than an hour. (gContactSync 3.0.x seems to broken, and Duplicate Contacts Manager filled the gap - and did much more.)

Exactly what I needed to keep my contacts straight. Not too simple, enough functionality for a large collection of contacts in many lists.

This Add On seems not to work, if you don't switch TB to English language. If you however do so, it works fine.
PLEASE PLACE A NOTICE IN THE DETAILS ABOUT THE ADD ON at least.

Worked smoothly, and actually came up with 15 duplicates i had overlooked. very efficient way to review and clean up.

Run it via option under the tools menu...
