Like many it seems, the arrival of TB78 has upset me as QF doesn't work !
I have found your links to pre-release versions (latest is 81), but xpi is being blocked as "unsigned". How do I get around this problem please ?
So, so, so desparately need QF to work again :-)
UPDATE - I got it installed and am smiling again !!
Look out for my pro-licence purchase shortly :-)
We will upload a signed version ASAP. Just ironing out the kinks at the moment, give us 2 weeks. We have spent 200 hours on my Add-ons, but we will need to do more fundraising - so thanks for your support - every single license counts!!!

Just updated to QF 5.0pre71 & it appears to be working fine, so far. Felt lost w/o QF when TB updated to 78.x.x. Thanks for your work.

Kein Thunderbird ohne Quickfolders.
Ich benutze die Quickfolders seit einer Weile und wie es so ist mit der Gewohnheit: Man vermisst die Dinge erst, wenn sie weg sind.
Nach einem Update auf 78 ist das Thunderbird für mich erstmal unbrauchbar geworden. Bei neun Mail-Adressen und etlichen unterschiedlichen Projekten, ist es mir ohne Quickfolders vollkommen unmöglich den Überblick zu behalten.

Wie sehr ich mich an die Funktionen von QuickFolders gewöhnt habe, ist mir erst wieder bewusst geworden, nachdem ich etwas vorschnell auf TB78 upgedatet habe und danach alle Addons deaktiviert waren. Also Thunderbird ohne QuickFolders ist echt grausam!
Glücklicherweise gibt es jetzt ein erstes Pre-Release (danke Axel und Alex) für TB78.
Um euere Arbeit zu unterstützen habe ich eine Pro-Lizenz gekauft.
Vielen Dank! Alex ist übrigens schon seit längerem nicht dabei, jetzt hilft mir dafuer Klaus (@opto) bei der Konversions-Arbeit für meine Add-ons.

Love QuickFolders. You have changed my life.
But now after update, not working yet with version 78 ... my life suffers.

Bitte aktualisieren Sie nicht, bis Thunderbird Version 78.2 für alle Benutzer automatisch updated - wird voraussichtlich Mitte September gerchehen. Ich arbeite mit einem zweiten Entwickler zusammen und investiere mehrere 1000€ in die Aktualisierung all meiner kommerziellen Add-Ons für Tb78. 78.2 ist meine deadline. Wir können die Versionen 78.0b4 und 78.1 im Moment nicht unterstützen, da viele APIs für mail extensions (die von Thunderbird zur verfuegung gestellt werden) noch unvollständig sind. Wir konzentrieren uns auf Qualität, anstatt eine unvollendete Software herauszubringen.
Ich habe bereits 650 US-Dollar in die neue Website (Github-Seiten) investiert - weil der kostenlose Server auf mozdev.org bereits das zeitliche gesegnet hat.
Eine 2-Sterne-Bewertung ist nicht unbedingt nötig:P

Please do not upgrade until Thunderbird auto-pushes Tb 78.2 on all users - presumably mid-September. I am working with a second developer and am investing several 1000$ into updating all my commercial add-ons for Tb78 so I do have a deadline. We cannot make the 78.0 and 78,1 releases but that's okay; we need to aim for quality over rushing out an unfinished release. I have already invested $650 into the new website (github pages) - because the free server on mozdev.org died a death.
No need for a 3 star rating my friend!

Axel, I don't know you but I cannot thank you enough for this add on. It is something that should absolutely have been a feature in Thunderbird itself, and it's brilliant that you have delivered what so many users were yearning for, and delivered with interest.
Users - if you a running multiple folders, and potentially multiple email accounts on Thunderbird and you are sick of scrolling down the folder list to find the various folders you so often use to deposit the latest arrivals into your inbox, then scroll no more! This is your answer.
And, if that were not enough, the detail and choice and genius of the other features available here make this even more of a must-have add-on. Allow yourself an easier life and download it now!

This is crazy that we have to add an extension for something that should be standard default. But the program works great, and if you have any issues the author gets right back to you.

absolutely ,brilliant addon, I have been using the default recent folders list which spilled over in endless drill down menus that ended nearly off screen but thats is all gone and tidied up with this great organised quick access to your favorite/recent folders in a nice tabbed row.. Surely this should become as default in TB. Well done the author.

Schon ganz gut. Leider einige Funktionen nur in Bezahlversion freigeschaltet und diese kostet JÄHRLICH Geld.
Ich zahle gerne für diverse Software (wie LO, Freecomander, Irvanview, fritz, etc), aber das möchte ich aus freien Stücken machen. Auch die Höhe des jährlichen Beitrags finde ich nicht angemessen.
Daher nicht 5 sondern 4 Sterne.
23,000 Benutzer sind auch schon ganz gut. Leider zahlt freiwillig nur jeder 100e und ich muss das Add-on jedes Jahr umschreiben (mehrere Wochen Arbeit) damit es weiter im sich dauernd veraenderten Mozilla Code funktioniert. Ausserdem ist dann noch Support und Dokumentation, staendige Erweiterungen der Funktionalitaet und automatische Updates.
Ohne monetisation oder einen reichen Entwickler dem es langweilig ist waere ein so komplexes Add-on nicht moeglich. Ich lebe aber davon.
Arbeiten Sie auch ausschliesslich ehrenamtlich?
Vielleicht kommen Sie ja besser ohne das Add-on aus. Nicht zu unterstuetzen bedeutet halt auch das es ist eigentlich egal ist wenn aufhoert zu funktionieren. Ich wuerde es einfach mal ohne QuickFolders versuchen. Dem Add-on durch schlechte Kritiken zu schaden weil 5% der Funktionen dazu genutzt werden dass es ueberleben kann ist nicht konstruktiv.

a minor problem, when you create a new sub-folder from the toolbar with a space or an accent, the created name is urlencoded and not visible in the toolbar until restart

Im August schriebst du "Mit Thunderbird 68 sind wir auch schon kompatibel". Ist es der Fall ? Wenn ja, wieso steht das nicht in der Beschriebung ?

Naja, die Beschreibung ist halt auf 220 Buchstaben beschränkt. Ist aber schon LANGE kompatibel. Unter dem Download button steht ja auch kompatibel mit 60.0 - * (also nach oben ist im Moment keine Restriktion, obwohl es schon einige bugs in der 70er beta gibt). 68.* wird schon 100% unterstützt.

This plugin is one of the best things that happened to me in my life, 2nd on the list right after adopting a cat.
After Few months one little thing stopper working, I never paid for the license because I'm a cheap bastard, regardless of this, th developer jumped on the 3h remote session with me and got the thing fixed in front of me.
This is a person that I would without a doubt trust with folding my parachute before the jump! ... 11/10 ;-) 6 stars !

Auch Quickfolders ist wie Quickfilters ein wirklich hilfreiches und gut durchdachtes Plugin. Viele Plugins stellen es frei zu spenden, was sicherlich nicht immer den Aufwand deckt. Bereits die kostenlose Basisversion ist schon eine gute Sache. Die vielen Möglichkeiten der Pro-Version jedoch und der Service sind absolut ihren Preis wert.
