Great add-on. Was not working anymore with Thunderbird 78. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and it worked again.

Many add-ons don't work in TB78, including Nostalgy. I was already thinking about going back to TB68 but this add-on came at the right time. Thanks! Works great.

Works with TB 78! Helped me a lot with Nostalgy addon still not working on TB 78.

Most important Thunderbird add-on. Clean and quick.

100% agree with all the comments about how (a) this is a really great and necessary Add-on and (b) this is such a bummer that it is broken for 78 and beyond.

@tessarakt how did you get it running with local mods?

Great app, should be a default TB feature, but not working with the latest release, please bring it back operationally.

Super-important add-on. I managed to keep it running with latest beta version by making a few local modifications. Still runs at TB 80.0b1. But I couldn't get it to run with the same version on Windows - apparently something with the keyboard shortcuts.

Love this extension. I have many different folders, and being able to search by name is the only efficient way to file things.

Unfortunately, after enjoying this for about 3 days, I updated to TB 78, and now this extension is not compatible. Hoping for an update.

Great add-on, the most important add-on on TB imho.
Something like a blacklist for certain folders would make it even better. My list of recent folders often contain a lot of folders that I didn't move to manually (using this add-on).

Re DanM's review, see my comment on 25.1.20. There is still a bug in this add-on when starting TBird (at least, on my pc; and others have noted it too).

A quick workaround is to right-click the Mail Toolbar > type C (opens Customise Toolbar) > press Enter. I find until this is done Shift-G won't work and the file finder rectangle has extra borders.

A fix would make this fantastic add-on perfect.

Essential! Works very well, thank you.

Only on my office desktop Mac, Shift-G does not yield a context menu (Shift-M and Shift-Y do). (Other Mac works, same OS - latest Mojave and Tbird.) One review suggested the problem is the Folder Location UI Customization widget enabled. Is that the problem and how would I fix that?

Good! i search for "Jump to folder" feature and this addon just do it. but lack of newsgroups folders.

Any way to add the newsgroups folders too from NNTP account types on search box?

Thanks!

Works as advertised, the interface and functionality looks perfect for me, to replace the “Quick Folder Key Navigation” addon. Thanks to it, I can already get rid of clumsy mouse movements, particularly the laggy drag-n-dropping of messages. However, there are two or three things that needs to be improved so that it really enables *quick* folder switching.

1. Currently, you cannot quickly type Shift+g, then a few letters from your target folder, then press Enter. This will do nothing, because you have to wait for the list of matching folders to be displayed, and for some reason this is slow. So you have to wait for a few seconds before pressing Enter… If listing results cannot be made faster, at least allow to type Enter ahead of time, so as to switch to the first result as soon as it is known.

2. I need the ability to blacklist folders (recursively). This is because I have archives, ie for most of my folders there is another of the same name in my Local Folders. These homonyms constantly get in the way of switching folders, as I essentially never want to jump in them.

3. Less vital improvement, but easier to implement: the search is already case-insensitive, it would be great to make it ignore diacritics as well.

With these improvements, the addon would be perfect for me.

Most wonderful and necessary add-on for Thunderbird. Almost had a breakdown when I updated and realized that it was not available... luckily it was not true! Please continue to develop it and all you guys be generous with the developer! :-)

Thank you very much for updating to >68. This Addon was the reason for keeping TB60. Now I can upgrade.

Generally I have found this add on really useful. However, as of Thunderbird 68.0, it is broken. TB disables it. You can enable it, and it partly works, but the folder pull down at the top of the window does not work (either because that is part of this addon or this addon interferes with it.) Fortunately for that there is a workaround - soo posting by user c42623 from 2020/01/06
