Enigmail

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

you'd think things like Enigmail would be the default/norm/standard method for email. but its not. It is a shame enigmail isn't included with thunderbird by default as well... but that's been said a million times, enough about that.

Enigmail is a add-on that transforms email, rather than Thunderbird. With Enigmail, you generate a key that can be used to identify/authenticate you, yourself. It means you can 'sign' your email with this key, and it can be 3rd party verified that it really did come from you and no one else. If any/every email was done this way... you could feel confident that when your bank emailed you, (or other very sensitive matter), it really came from them. Email scams would nearly cease to exist. Spam would follow just as quickly and email would be more like personal mail.

The second benefit (if you choose) of Enigmail is full encryption. Lets face it, Gmail admins must read your email, if they don't, then maybe the don't, but its my word against theirs... but those ads that seem to know what your emails about didn't get that way from someone guessing, and who knows what metrics they keep on what ads they've sent to you (after all, that know its you, your email address doesn't change). Full encryption means without the key (think of it as a password that only receiver gets to know), no one can read your email.

DownThemAll!

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

That's right folks... This is a cream of the crop add-on here. It simply lets you download elements on a page... such as images, text, files.... etc. It has a nifty filter mechanism that lets you brainlessly filter content... or you can dive down and specify file types to download specifically.

Its pretty easy to use... has a nice simple interface. Its great...

...the only downside is you may not need to use it frequently. (but when you do, you'll be glad you found it!)

Hide Menubar

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

works just as stated, it hides the menu bar and you can invoke the menu by hitting .

Notified author of a bug in which sometimes the menu bar becomes visible shortly after a tooltip appears.

Bing

Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

First off, anything thats M$ is only 4 stars, even thou bing is quiet competitive.

2) How does the unoffical bing search engine add-on look better than the offical.

You guys really dropped the ball on that one... all you had to do was clean up your logo/icon a little... no wonder you guys are having so many problems. (i think your have problems... i think your company image is going to **** and so do alot of people i know (that aren't computer nerds like me))

AutoPager

Puntuado con 5 de 5 estrellas

Its a great add-on. Updates its settings and works very well. Nice interface for creating your own (although a little confusing if you don't know what xpath and stuff like that is). What a smart idea to automagically load the next page in a sequence and put it inline with the current document.

My only complaint is i would like to remove the line break and icons in the middle because they are a bit distracting... just the option -- options are good.

RefControl

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Great add-on... Its interface is small and minimal, and it does it job well with good controls.

The per site basis allows you to set the referrer the visiting site requires the actual ref to be sent (for "Security Reasons").

The ability to use a custom ref is awesome... i use "Get Firefox!" and i suggest you do too!

HistoryInTab

Puntuado con 3 de 5 estrellas

I have thought it would make a lot of sense, to simplify the UI of firefox and make alot of things open in tabs... like addons, options, places, etc.

I really like it, but it seems redudant with the back/forward button (not sure if you can fix that)

And sometimes when modifing certian items, like moving them (drag and drop) it counts as a click and opens the page.... not good. Im thinking this is more of a 'firefox' bug rather than your problem...

HistoryInTab

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

I really like it... I think this should open by default in a tab. But i can see why some might say its a little awkward. Its also a bit redundant to have the forward/back buttons twice, and the filter twice... but you can see what i mean that history/place should open in another tab.

Linkification

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

Its great. It certainly extends the functionality of most pages.

However, i would change you icon at the bottom to be maybe a single link from a chain because i think it looks ugly... but other than that, its a great extension.

FoxTab

Puntuado con 4 de 5 estrellas

This is a top notch addon. Its very smooth, and has a real clean interface. The look is soft, well layed out and uniform.

The animations are very smooth, having just 2 tabs open it runs very quick, and as you add more to it (not sure a number) it can become choppy. Im not saying this is a bug... but I wonder if this is a factor of javascript, the computer, or firefox, and what it would take to improve it. My guess is that its JS performance and FF3.5 will "fix it".

I really love the layouts and animations. They make viewing the tabs clear, accurate and quick. You can quickly see whats available and where you are. I look forward to seeing how the "return to page" animation works out (its experiemental at this point).

The fact that the "page" can be scaled to be the size of the window or shrunk to be large, medium, or small is great... and if you chose a size, it scales it to the size of the window. The author was even smart enough that if the browser window gets resize, the add-on resizes itself -- with an animation on the fly... VERY smart design.

this is great add-on. My only complaint is with the interface:

- the 5 items on the left (FS mode, gear, folder, search, no. of tabs) should match the stuff on the right... thats not only the color, but style.

- A glossy look i think looks better... i know its very cliche... but... it does look nice... doesn't it?

Its worth trying out... and it works good it your a tab fanatic.
