This was an useful addon, because Thunderbird never applied filters to sent emails (why??).
Sadly, it doesn't work anymore in TB60.6!

I would reckon that one could start to regard this addon as superfluous if you use the latest versions of Thunderbird (I use v45.0). You can activate moving of mails to a particular folder with 'After Sending' in the filters. Problem is, as I have encountered, it does not always do that. Instead some messages for some addressees end up in the 'Sent' folder. This addon actually fixes them!

Works on 24.3.0

This works just fine! Does just what you want! I like to have my sent messages kept in the same place as my outgoing messages, and this addon allows the filters to work as you would expect. Now I can keep everything filtered properly. Thank you!

Not sure what other users are complaining about. I tried it with a very old version of Tbird, and it didn't work. But with 24 it works just fine. That's as new as I need, simply to make this addon work, so I can't comment on newer versions, but with 24 it definitely works just fine.

Doesn't automatically run filter when mail gets sent. Without that working, I don't know what good this does anyone.

One does not simply change version into RDF.

Here is a better patch, 24+ only:

Well, now that Mozilla obviously never got round to developing this functionality themselves, how about updating it? I am running 17 and it doesnt work - I couldnt get it to work on 16 (which is very broken anyway) either. This is a great Add-on, and really it should be part of the Thunderbird Addressbook system. I don't plan to stay with Thunderbird into the far future, as their refusal to move away from mbox to Maildir has just placed them well and truly in the Too Silly To Persist With basket, but in the meantime its my main email client and I really like being able to flush the filters backwards as well as forwards.
