Not perfect, but no other good and free solution.

Perfect. I synced calendars, tasks and contacts from two Google accounts. I have been using the extension for over 1 year without any problems. Thank you very much.

Perfeito.

At the moment there are synchronization problems. In version 115, new calendar appointments entered via the mobile version of Google Calendar (iOS, Android) are not displayed / synchronized. With an older Thunderbird version (102.15.1) on another Windows 10 computer it still works fine. So the problem seems to have happened with the new version 115 (Supernova). The synchronization between all other Google Calendar apps (iOS, Android) works without problems. Only in Thunderbird 115, new appointments created on another device are not synced. Please fix this problem.

The notification window for appointments can not be closed, neither for all notification nor for a specific one, it is annoying.

I have just noticed, adding meeting invitations from E-mails does not work either. A mail with a meeting invitation displays the following error: "No writable calendars are configured for invitations, please check the calendar properties". I'm sure the "Read Only" checkbox on my subscribed Google Calendar is off and I can create events there manually from Thunderbird. This is very sad.

Copying from my previous review. Using v115.0.2. It works sufficiently well with calendar events but is broken in syncing Google Tasks. Tasks created or marked completed in Google Tasks sometimes do not appear or fail to change status in Thunderbird etc. Tasks created in Thunderbird usually appear in Google Tasks though. There is a "diode" somewhere along the way.

As many reviewers have noted, Provider for Google Calendar fails to import new events from a Google calendar when synchronizing. It will do this properly when Thunderbird is rebooted, but once it is running, the local calendar is not kept updated. I hope the developer is listening.

Worked when first updated to version 115. Now with further betas, it is unusable again

Unusable after a recent update. I don't remember Google Calendar *ever* working flawlessly with Thunderbird, especially across multiple devices. This add-on used to make it tolerable, but now I no longer get write access. That's it, for good - I'll probably have to migrate away from TB to get a very basic productivity feature. :-( (No, ICal also doesn't work. It's a mess.)

Worked fine until I shut down Thunderbird. After that it would not sync with Google Calendar at all no matter what I tried. I uninstalled it, and set up Thunderbird 115 to use a Network Calendar with Google Calendar. This works fine and no sync issues.

Worked well for a long time, now I am not able to dismiss reminders. So it mostly became useless.

This was such a great plugin, but like others are saying, it is no longer properly syncing.

If you create something on your android phone, it won't show up here. Even if you hit sync. The only way to make it show is to reboot Thunderbird. Then, suddenly is syncs everything.

So it isn't very useful for a system that runs 24/7 anymore.

This is a great addon that worked without any hassle in Thunderbird 115. That being said, I've added my GMail email account, and it looks like Thunderbird handles calendar & contact sync natively. I'm not sure this plugin may be necessary anymore.

Need this add-on to sync my google tasks (not calendar). Works good; just hesitating to update to the new Thunderbird 115. Is there any experience already if it works smoothly?

Sorry, it could be nice but no sincro from my android device, so totally unuseless for my needs.

Does not synchronize reliably (misses new appointments created on other devices, even though they already appear in calendar.google.com). Manually selecting the "synchronize calendar" option does not help. Unusable in this form.

Thank you for this addon. Works great for multiple calendars.
I have a request though. Please add a time option to google tasks. You can only create all-day tasks.

Almost!
This provides easy set up of Google calendar with task support in Thunderbird. However, as others have mentioned, calendar event reminders cannot be dismissed. This makes the feature quite unusable, unfortunately.
