It needs to be updated! At least as is not integrated into Thunderbird. :(

Open the Gmail account server settings, advanced button, and type [Gmail] into the IMAP server directory.

Works flawlessly even with most new versions.

If the original coder is still around here. Would you mind if I keep upgrading the extension to make it work with newest TB versions?

Can you update it for Version 60, please?

It seems not to work anymore with TB 60. Promotion or collapse of folders has no effect, at least IMHO. I hope it could be updated even if I suspect it will be not.

I am surprised this hasn't been mentioned before. There is much simpler solution available that no longer requires add-on.

Great, particularly with a Gmail account.

Sadly, it removes the indicator (along with the tooltip) showing the number of unread mails in the inbox, that normally appears when an account is fully collapsed.

This addon is fantastic with Google Inbox

Breakout/Promote both create Drafts/Sent/Junk/spam/Trash all moved out from being under Inbox, but all sub-folders I'd created were broken out of the Inbox too, below Drafts/Sent/Junk/spam/Trash.

It's kinda too simple options. It's either all or nothing. I couldn't find a way to breakout only Drafts/Sent/Junk/spam/Trash only, and leave my created sub-folders under Inbox.

Breakout loses your Inbox Folder from viewing. I haven't figured out if it shows up when new mail arrives.

Promote Keeps your Inbox, then lists Drafts/Sent/Junk/spam/Trash, then lists all your created folders. Not perfect, but acceptable.

Fixed the problem with IMAP folders all being under the INBOX. Almost perfect if the subfolders broken out were selectable!

I'd implore the developer to make the subfolders broken out selectable. Or, for another developer to improve on this cool little trick, which corrects the IMAP problem of all folders being under Inbox.

Worked perfectly for months, but isn't working anymore with Thunderbird/Icedove v.38.2.0.
Could you please fix it?
Thanks in advance :)

Excellent extension, but seems to be incompatible with the Hide Local Folders extension. Any possibility of rectifying that?

Thank you

No sign of any extra view, and folder options are greyed out. NB, this is same with the 'compatibility solved' version DL and installed manually

shame, looked useful

Great Add-On but it doesn't work anymore with Thunderbird 24.3.0.

User NaTong claims this function is built into TB v17 but it does not appear to be anywhere.https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/flat-folder-tree/reviews/476672/It does still break any folder sorting done by "Manually Sort Folders 1.1", which is unfortunate that they don't work together.

Really useful extension, but, please make it play nicely with "Manually sort folders 1.1".
