Since the 'new-mail alert' addon no longer is maintained and doesn't work in TB3 this addon is useless now :(

Excellent! Simple but indispensable.

Worked great from the get-go (TB3). Well made.

I would give it 5 stars if it offered one more adjustment to the alert panel - the option to reposition it - in 'sticky' fashion - where I choose. I need to see the alert from across the room and at the bottom-right of my monitor is not ideal.

(I used to use a third party add-on for new mail alerts, but it won't work with TB3.)

This is just what I needed, a visual que for new email. I disabled auto-hide so that I don't miss the message if I am out of the room (old laptop used as a media server by TV, now I have a use for the screen). I use IMAP to see the mail on the server, all I need now is for the flashing box to disappear if the mail is read by another client. Could also wake up the screen if in power save mode.

I am a Linux user, and none of the minimize extensions I tried worked well, so Thunderbird is always open in a specific desktop. The problem is that I miss new mails... Well, not anymore with this extension! Great work!

One question, though: actually, the popup box isn't refreshed, meaning that if I receive a new mail while the popup is already showing, it will continue to show the "old" new mail, it would be great if all new mails were shown.
