I am glad to find somebody else had this idea -- and took the time to implement it! It's a good tool -- every email program needs it.

The interface is a little clunky, but this is minor. The only real glitch I've found so far is that the screen 'flickers' every time I go to the next image -- as if it were pre-displaying some other image, or the image at a different location (centered, at the top...?) before showing the next image. that's a little distracting.

Really, really nice and usefull module. When you receive large image, it's the best tool to view them

Opens up in the size and position it was last closed in, so can run in a second monitor and show attached images without obscuring the TB message.

One small problem. I have found a few JPGs that won't display. I haven't established how they differ from those that will display. Could there be limitations in file properties such as bit depth or resolution?

It works with Thunderbird 3.0b2! After setting the em:maxVersion to the correct value of course.

It worked for me one time. Every other time I have tried I just get a black background in the Slidedshow window. None of the buttons do anything. I am running Thunderbird 2.0.0.18 on Fedora 8. Wish I could get it to work.

Great plug-in, very useful! One may download a 2.0.0.16-compatible version at the author's website!

Hi, great thing! It´s really much better to view the oics in the slideshow than embedded in the message. But do you have a hint how to prevent Thunderbird to embed them in the messages at all? Cause this is annoying especially when quoting an email, cause all the pics are then in the quote, unwanted. Maybe you could put an option to SLIDESHOW to prevent pics to be embedded in messages - that would be really great! Thank you!

Lovely extension. On tool bar at top of viewer have option to zoom in or out. Can progress via tool-bar forward or backwards, or more easily via arrow buttons on keyboard.
SLIDESHOW is a bit of a mis-leading name though, as can't see any option for playing a slideshow.
However, it's a great little simple viewer .
Would be nice if had the option to rotate pictures (e.g. by clicking on R or L).
Looking forward to further developments.
I'm definitely keeping this !
(I'm using the version for TB2).

This an excellent and useful extension providing a more convenient way to see and manipulate the size of attached images. Thunderbird should really have a built-in "fit to screen" option as a default for inline photo viewing. Slieshow works with both the "inline" and (default) "undisplayed" photo view settings within thunderbird. Perfect for large photos which otherwise are virtually impossible to see without opening a graphics program. With Slideshow, I can easily preview all attached photos before deciding which to open or save.

Needs a bit more work (see discussion), but an excellent start.

This add-on is very useful since I got it working by installing the correct version for Thunderbird 2 (V 1.0)
