Thanks, Paul. Clear as a bell and smooth as silk. It's quite a relief to see my ReminderFox up and running again. Now I know what I'd planned to do today. :-) I'm sure your explanation of updating with an .xpi file will help a lot of ReminderFox users.

My ReminderFox stopped working today too. Then I read the "edit" in Sarisisop's posting below, which says "Edit: Just updated to 2.1.6.6 and all is working again." So I went to Tom Mutdosch's website and downloaded reminderfox-2.1.6.6-fx.xpi. But I don't know how to use it to update my ReminderFox (which I have in Thunderbird). I've never used an .xpi file before. Would someone please explain how to use it for updating ReminderFox? I depend on it a lot, and look forward to having it operational again. My thanks.

Five stars absolutely, and I'd give it more if I could. I've been using ReminderFox for 12 years so far. I use it repeatedly every day. When it came time to migrate it from Firefox to Thunderbird, I did, and have continued without a hitch. It's basic to my planning of activities -- sometimes even years ahead -- and it also gives a valuable record of previous years. It's hard to imagine switching away from it, and I'm so pleased to know that it looks like I won't have to. My deep thanks to Günter and the others who have contributed to it.
