In a little more detail...

Greetings! I am founder and co-owner of Add-ons Mirror (AMI). That site used to be known as The Extensions Mirror. This is to certify that Seamaiden has received permission from Mark Carson to use his golden Sunbird graphic as an avatar.

The extensions mirror link is no longer valid. Here is the correct link for the TB2 and TB3 version.

SunCloud

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I am so glad that someone is making some themes for the latest versions of Sunbird. We need more themes for Sunbird!

This one has a lot of blue. In future builds, maybe the white in the toolbar and menu bars can be replaced with a light gray, tan or an off-white cream color. That would look much nicer. Or maybe a graphic of blue sky with clouds instead of just plain blue.

Version 1.02 is now at Add-ons Mirror, but Alex is still working on bugfixes.

Hopefully, it will be uploaded here to AMO very soon.

MR Tech Toolkit

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is my #1 extension, and the one I cannot live without. In new profiles and test profiles, MTLI is always installed FIRST before all other extensions and themes. That is because of the auto-archiving feature and because your add-on makes it much easier to install future add-ons with these two options in the File menu:

* File -> Install Extensions
* File -> Install Themes

And adding five toolbar buttons to the menu bar or toolbar:

* Open Extensions Manager
* Open Themes Manager
* Open My Config (a list of installed extensions and themes)
* Open Options Window (Tools -> Options)
* Clear Private Data

There are also some on the Tools menu.

AUTO-ARCHIVING
The best feature is the archiving feature, and I will be glad when version 6 comes out and you have rebuilt and repaired that. Right now, it only works well on Firefox. It is iffy on Flock and Netscape and nonexistent on the other apps.

ACCESSIBILITY
I will also be looking forward to seeing more accessibility features built into your extension (as ChromEdit Plus has done), so you can change font type, font size, font style, font color and background color of certain windows. That is a MUST for the visually impaired like me. Right now you cannot do this for the ChromEdit windows in MTLI, but you can do it for the MyConfig reports. If you mess up or change your mind, the reset button makes it easy to reset your style to default. Also, I hope you can restore compatibility with the ChromEdit Plus extension or incorporate its features into your own so that CEP is no longer needed.

COMPATIBILITY
MTLI also has several functions to make an incompatible add-on compatible, similar to Nightly Tester Tools. If you know the next version of a particular add-on will not work for you, then you can disable update checks for that add-on. You can also repair/rebuild the list of incompatible add-ons.

SETTINGS BACK UP AND RESTORE
For some reason the import feature does not always import the settings I have exported (saved). Please look into this. Make sure that it is exporting correctly and why it's not importing correctly.

Keep up the great work, Mel. I swear one day I am going to write a users guide for MTLI, as I did for Tab Mix Plus (TMP).

TB Custom Toolbar

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This functionality has been missing from Thunderbird for a long time. Thanks, Michael, for finally making it possible to add custom toolbars. Now you'll have plenty of room for all the buttons you want! When one toolbar is full, simply add a new one below it.

New toolbars can be created in the Main window and in the Read window of Thunderbird, but not in the Compose window. You can add whatever buttons you want to the custom toolbars that you make. In your next release, maybe you can find a way to add toolbars to the Compose window too.

This add-on is highly recommended for all Thunderbird users. Users of Firefox, Flock, and Netscape 9 can use Michael's "Toolbar Buttons" extension (version 0.4 and higher) to create their own custom toolbars in those applications. Toolbar Buttons also works on Thunderbird and Sunbird. However, if you do not need all those extra icons, then TB Custom Toolbar buttons for Thunderbird is the way to go.

You can find additional information here.

I have taken more screenshots for you and added some notes to enhance the description. You can use any of my screenshots for this AMO listing, your web site, and anywhere else you wish to distribute this add-on.

Keep up the good work, and I'm anxiously looking forward to the next release.

Amethyst Firefox

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is very easy on the eyes and just the right shade. I can't wait to see it made in other colors.

Unfortunately, the Options dialog is not fully themed, like the blue version of this theme (Cobalt Firefox) is. I hope the author can do more work to finish Amethyst Firefox so it can be moved into the Public area.

TB Properties

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This functionality has been missing from Thunderbird for a long time, and I am glad that someone finally wrote an extension for it! Now you can right-click on any link in an email, news message or RSS message in Thunderbird and get its Properties. Information shown in the window will vary, depending on the type of link you right-click on. Link Properties for Thunderbird (LPT) works on text links, email links, html links, and image links.

At the present time, LPT only works on messages viewed in the Preview Pane. The Properties option is missing from the context menu when you actually open a message and right-click on a link. Perhaps this can be fixed in a later version.

AMI is definitely pleased to mirror this extension. The author already gave you the link, but I will list it again here for reference. You can see additional screenshots here.

The Extended Link Properties extension still does not work in Thunderbird even when Link Properties for Thunderbird adds the required Properties item to its context menu. You can find that extension here.

http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showtopic=6594

That is because these two extensions overlay to different things and would actually conflict with each other. Maybe one or both extensions can be enhanced at some later time. You can read more information about that here.

http://forum.addonsmirror.net/index.php?showtopic=6590

Link Properties for Thunderbird (LPT) rebuilds the Properties entry and the whole properties system. It overlays to a different thing than Extended Link Properties (ELP). ELP overlays to the "browser properties.xul", which doesn't exist in Thunderbird. LPT overlays and connects to the "properties dialog". However, the Thunderbird backend code may not support the functionality needed for the Properties window, so future development may be limited.

Regardless of these limitations, this is still one great extension and is highly recommended for all Thunderbird users. I anxiously look forward to its next release!
