Mouse Gestures Redox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this mouse gestures extension. It's far better than All-in-One Gestures or FireGestures. But since Firefox version 3.5.x it malfunctions in coexistence with PrefBar Add-on.

SMTP Control

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension would be the solution for roaming with Thunderbird
- The support section link doesn't work

Using Thunderbird 3.0b3:
- SMTP-list is empty
- 'Default SMTP Server for this location' : 'Error in list initialization, please contact support'
- 'Location per account' : 'Error in list initialization, please contact support'
- 'Discoverd IP addresses' : 'Error in list initialization, please contact support'
- 'Ignored IP addresses' : 'Error in list initialization, please contact support'

- In the Error console, multiple Errors (All the same): "server_list.Count is not a function
Source File: chrome://smtp_control/content/sc_main.js
Line: 103"

bosskey

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like this addon because it works instantly activated by hotkey, no lags and it's customizable. I've been using it for a while and I still haven't updated my FF to 3.5 for incompatibility. But it takes too long and it's the only incompatible addon in my addons set. Unfortunately I won't wait anymore, I'll have to let it go :(

Firefox Throttle

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I spent too long trying to find it for its bandwidth monitor functionality (traffic counter/rates). Instead I was finding "Extended Statusbar" when searching for 'firefox addons speed meters dial status, bandwidth monitor, download, upload, traffic' etc. I had used this addon once before so I knew it existed but it was a while ago and I forgot what it was called.

In other words, this is a good script but too hard to come across, unless you are specifically looking for the throttle functionality only. Functionality wise it does exactly what I want which is say how fast the page is currently loading and how much bandwidth I have used.

External Application Buttons mod for Firefox 3.0+

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you so much for fixing this add-on!
I was a bit disappointed with it, especially after upgrading to FF3.5
Many great thanks!
It works perfectly!

RequestPolicy

Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Fantastic little tool, if slightly arduous in the beginning, but then so is no-script. The added bonus of removing the cross checking of add trackers is speeding up the rendering of pages. Increased privacy plus increased speed is only a good thing, just remember to add a good cookie manager and add-block and you're set.

If there's one great flaw in it as a compliment to no-script it's the fact that it's backup settings is both manual and wholly independent. That is to say, you have to manually backup creating a separate file you have to handle in addition to firefox rather than no-scripts solution of automatic backup to a bookmark for quick, easy synchronisation via exporting bookmarks, FEBE or Mozilla weave project. Although once that is fully integrated into firefox most extensions will backup to a bookmark.
