Works perfectly IF: You install as directed and THEN you open your accounts from Tbird Tools, then check the box signature from file, and point it at the sig.txt file you created in Random.

The problem: This add-on opens and reads a random quotes fourtune cookie file UTF-8 format...not problem. It then writes the selected quote to a sig.txt file. The problem is that the sig quote NEVER gets inserted into new email!

What gives? Is it this ver of TBird, and the addon is just not updated, or am I missing some step?

Please check that the sig.txt file is defined as the signature file for the identity that you are sending the email with.

Also make sure that the sig.txt file is not empty, i.e. that is has the proper permission such that TB can write to it.

Random sig no longer works with Thunderbird 17. Hope this is fixable it is a great addon.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.5).

A fix for that is in the works. I will deploy an update soon.

Very smooth with no glitches. The instructions could be clearer on the requirement for making the my_sig.txt file. Or maybe its the operator! ;)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4).
