*) On selected few e-mails the RMB > move to > empty window!. It should be display the last selected folders. Why I in options set to remember 15 last selected folders if you not use it!.

*) At one message sometime the RMB > move to > display only the search box, with out the last selected directory and I must write the same folder again.

The add-on is really great and increases a lot my productivity.
I only have one request: I want to have the option to see folder paths because I often have folders of the same name, which I'd like to differentiate between. Sometimes this path become visible, sometimes no (I don't know why).

In any case great add-on

I mainly wanted to have an addon to quickly move mails to folders without having to use the mouse and keep my fingers on the keyboard.

After using the shortcut shift-m to move a message, the focus of the application is not in the message list anymore. So after moving a mail with the keyboard shortcut, a click with the mouse is necessary to start navigating messages again. It would be really nice, if the addon would keep the focus where it is when invoking the shortcut.

The second issue is, that the folder suggestions are not shown on repeated usage of the shortcut. After setting the focus back to the message list and invoking the shortcut again, the last entered filter string is still visible in the filter textbox, but no folders are shown below. To get a new list of folders, the already entered string must be modified or deleted. The expected behaviour is, that the last shown folder suggestions are shown again and that the previously entered text is selected. This behaviour would be convenient as the first suggested folder is the last used folder for the case that the folder is again the target folder or one could just type another target without having to select the text in the filter box.

I use it every day. I just wish I could redefine the shortcuts. As of recently, something started to collide with SHIFT+M so I can't move messages keyboard-only. Thunderbird 38.3.0 and many add-ons.

I agree, an extremely useful tool! - There is just the already mentioned problem that the last entry appears in the edit box and must be manually deleted. This is indeed quite annoying! I would be great if you can fix this! In any case thank's for this very helpful addon!

Thanks for providing this very useful Add-On. I discovered a little problem when I use it (V1.2) together with Thunderbird Conversations 2.10: When Conversation View is active and I click on "Move to" only the search field is being displayed, the recently used folders are missing. After inserting and deleting text in the search field the recently used folders are being displayed (OSX 10.9.5, TB 38.2).

Actually, I haven't tried this yet, but it's exactly what I need! I'll write again after working with it for a bit. I have read many reviews and *know* this is going to make a *huge* difference for me! Thank you so much. I have many accounts and uncountable folders. This is going to be fabulous!

This add-on is super handy and makes it very quick to place emails in folders (i.e., "applying labels" in GMail terms). Just like GMail it searches through folders as one types.

A+

great tool.

one request: please allow customization on unifying folders and servers.
for me it is important to see complete path and server/account-name
please add option for shorten the text of folders:
shorten path
shorten server/account

Hey Ralf, could you contact me via the support link? Quick Folder Move doesn't use the unified folders view, and I don't unify any folders. They are shown hierarchical, so the full path should be visible by hierarchy.

This would be a great and useful program if the developer would fix a glaring bug which causes the program to fail to clear the window of characters before going to move another message, causing the user to have to erase before retyping each time, drastically reducing efficiency.

I hope this is fixed in the most recent version. Let me know if it still shows up.

In the recent update of the addin or firefox it has memory of the last item typed after Shift M. I have to delete this and retype before the context menu reappears.

Known issue. I will take care of this soon!

Use it on a daily basis! The only option I was missing is to always show the account name; as I have a few shared accounts and lots of folders, I'm not always sure if a folder is mine or shared when there is no duplicate. Fortunately this was easy to hack (simply removed the dupeMap check in the js), but a proper option would be awesome.

This should be built into Thunderbird.

How can one survive these days without an add-on like this? We all have hundreds of folders now. Not just Personal and Work.

Can't wait until I can navigate among search results with the arrow key.

Very userful addon, thanks very much. Some hints to improve:
- sometimes (probably when you do keyboard sequence Shift+M and others too quickly) the message you want to move to folder losts focus and another message (typically 1st in folder) is moved instead,
- use of arrows to navigate between searched folders (yes I see it in known issues),
- more settings (bigger recent folder history - sometimes does not remember my setting, detailed view to folder tree when I type letters etc.)

Thanks for all.

great stuff but would be nice to show the sub folder path as well in reverse direction (lowest to root) or normal direction (root to lowest) since I have some sub folders with the same name.

Thank you for this great add-on, it makes working with TB lot more productive. But: it could be even better if you could provide a shortcut to activate folder move.. ;-)

This addon is indispensable when dealing with many and nested message-folders.
The only thing I'm sadly missing, is the same quick-search-functionality in the create-filter-pane of TB!

Not ready for prime time.
- should show entire sorted folder tree
- search box does not find all my folders

Been searching for something like this for a while. Looking forward to a fully functional version!

Very usefull when you have a lot of folders. Very well integrated in the thunderbird UI. Nice job.
One suggestion : in my case, I have a lot of archived folder and these ones appear in the extension's window. An option to show (or not) folders under 'Archive' root folder could be useful.
One last dream : moving a message directly in the same folder that the corresponding thread.
