About this Add-on
In the new version 3.0 you can now exclude specific senders from applying dark mode. For example Steam sends already dark emails. To read sender email, I had to add new "messageRead" permission.
Darko will make your Thunderbird messages dark.
Version 3.0 adds "Excluded senders" feature, to automatically disable Darko for specific senders!
Dark mode can be also scheduled!
Thunderbird 78 has amazing dark mode that works even in the compose window. But it doesn't work in the message window (email body).
It turns out, it's not that easy to make email dark. There is often a lot of graphics and custom colors and it's hard to make it dark, yet still readable.
Even though it's not possible to create perfect solution, it is possible to "invert" colors and shift "hue" so that it looks good enough.
And that's what I do here and the results are... well, you tell me :)

Privacy and permissions:
- permission "Read and modify your email messages as they are displayed to you" is used to inject dark CSS style to the email body
- permission "Read your email messages and mark or tag them" added in version 3.0 allows reading senders email (used by new "Excluded senders" feature)
- there are no other permissions so addon CANNOT send or receive any data
