Everyone, you have to get this add-on.

Not only does it save you time, but it saves you cluttering up your computer b/c normally you have to save all zipped files to your computer first b4 attaching them.

Tomer PLEASE get the update out for TB3. I'm missing it already : )

Thanks

With this you DON'T.

Tomer PLEASE update for TB3.

I don't want to use the "MaxVersion" hack. I'd rather request for an official release. When can we expect this wonderful add-on to gain compatibility with TB3?

GREAT ADDON!

Is it possible to improve the addon to work on existing email and modify the emails (on IMAP for example)?

We have an sm-archive milter, that send all email to an archive account. Our users have very large attachments that can be compressed very much.

Thank you!

This seemed to fix it for me (after bumping max version): open auto_zip_attachments-0.6.2-tb.xpi\chrome\AutoZipAttachments.jar\content\ with 7-zip and then AutoZipAttachments.js with notepad. Search for AddAttachment(attachment); and change it to AddUrlAttachment(attachment); It shows up 3 times. No guarantees, but I have tested it a little.

How did you do exactly? I also managed to install it tells me when I feel the compression "ReferenceError: AddAttachment is not defined"

Hi Guys: whilst waiting for the official version I've bumped the max version to 3.0.0* and the extension loaded OK and appears to be working fine. To do this open the xpi file with 7-zip and edit the install.rdf file. At your own risk of course but easy to do.

Hopefully it will be updated to work on Thunderbird 3...

There is a reason this add-on is on almost every top 10 add-ons list you can find on the web. Please upgrade to 3.0 so it stays on top!

The only reason I don't upgrade to Thunderbird 3 is that because I still need this add-on.. Please update this add-on for TB3..
