Works most of the time but occasionally will not show up in the bar although it is I think still running in the background as TB opens too quick to be starting from scratch TB 60.2.1 on Mint 18.2

ChrissWe comment saved me, this works with the new TB 60. The devs should probably update it or create a "new" add-on for people who need this.

Just download the xpi and install. (save link as, extension manager -> install add-on from file)

Doesn't work with TB 60. Alternative: FireTray 0.6.2 (available on GitHub).

Very useful addition. I'm waiting for a new version for the latest TB 60. *
Please do update.

Good addition. I want to continue in versions 60+, or do something similar in the next basic version.

Significantly reduces memory usage in Windows by pushing the browser to "Background Process".

Which is good enough and highly appreciated .

This works great with Thunderbird 52.6.0 on Linux (Manjaro, Gnome 3.26)!

I know this addon has been discontinued by its author... but please somebody port FireTray to Thunderbird 57+!

The addon is just great but doesn't work on Ubuntu 17.10 + KDE/Plasma + Thunderbird 57.0b2

Sometimes when I click the tray icon to maximize Thunderbird, I see the window in the taskbar but not the window itself. it must be because Firetray maximizes the window but doesn't make it active so it would get to the forefront. Please fix this.
