Doesn´t work for Firefox 59.0.2 :-(

This is nothing I could change. Mozilla removed any API that would have allowed me to add a Run button. Please downvote Firefox, not my add-on, or switch to Pale Moon or SeaMonkey.

I loved it, while it lasted! :-)
See you in Waterfox.

Thank you for staying with me!

Please add support for FF57 (Quantum). Hands down my favorite extension for quite some time now. It's nice to be able to run a download without having to save it somewhere first.

I cannot unless Mozilla decides to add an API to extend (or, at least, replace) the download dialog. But they repeatedly said they wouldn't do that for laughable "security" reasons. Sorry, my hands are tied.

I can advise you to try Pale Moon instead. :-)

I will miss your plugin! Thank you for making our lives easier in the past few years and I hope FF will allow your extension to work in the future!

So do I!

Was one of my favorite extensions for years now. Sad to hear it's not supported anymore by FF v57 :( Anyway, thanks for the effort, i appreciate it.

Thank you!

Super useful but needs an update to support Firefox Quantum :(

I wish I could do that, but there is no way to add any buttons to the Save dialog anymore. :-(

Please update this wonderful script for the new firefox system :(

I cannot - Mozilla does not give me a way to add buttons to the Save As dialog anymore. Sorry! Try Pale Moon.

Has someone found an aleternative for this to be used in the upcoming FF 57?

Can't really handle not being able to just Run a download.

Sorry, as far as I know there is no API for that. If that changes, i'll happily resurrect OpenDownload, but I doubt it.

This is quite a blow by Mozilla. This was one of the main plugins that helped me go from Opera 12 to Firefox and I have been a user ever since.

Since there will be no alternative, maybe it's time to switch to Vivaldi? That option is present without addons.

Shame, shame Mozilla, shame...

Pale Moon will continue to be supported by me. :-)

Hello. I read you post about further developing but maybe you can think about again :-) Thank you

Mozilla does not let me add buttons to the user interface anymore. :-(

Feel free to report this issue to either Mozilla (not recognizing when the download is finished) or Dropbox (not fixing their HTTP headers).

Mozilla should ask to be allowed to implement this tool in Firefox!
I need it very often.

A very underrated feature for Firefox that needs desperately to be integrated are run commands that open files and storing them in temp instead of having to worry about file system navigation. Be sure to run ccleaner every once in awhile and you will not regret this addon.
